Guest guest
Hi there, my very ill wife (severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, chemical sensitivities, electrical sensitivity) is currently doing a low-sulphur trial diet to test her sensitivity to thiols before beginning ALA chelation, and I have noticed a strong sulphur odor in her urine this week. I thought that having this odor meant that there was high thiol activity (I.e. w/ dmps, etc.), but she should be having less thiol activity than usual while on the low-sulphur diet, right? Or perhaps I'm missing a crucial piece of the chemistry if anyone could shed some light on this phenomenon, that would be greatly appreciated. I wonder if it could have anything to do with upping her dosage of phosphatidylcholine and/or betaine hcl recently. I which case, the diet change could just be a coincidence. The reason I think ppc, is because she seems to have such poor lipid assimilation. Her Metametrix ION test a couple years ago showed really crazy fatty acid levels--some very low, some very high. I'm just getting my head around these issues, with not much of a science background, so I can use help! Best,
