Amish Woman has autistic child after mercury filling placed in 3rd trimester

FDA held hearings on dental amalgam on December 14-15, 2010.

One interesting speaker was a dentist, Pentti Nupponen, who practices

near the Amish in Pennsylvania.

He told of a farmer who kept getting heart attacks because of dental

mercury and also of an Amish woman who had an autistic child after a

dentist placed am amalgam in her third trimester of pregnancy. The

dentist had assured her it was completely safe.
