Guest guest
I have to tell you I was wrong. Itching is sign of cirrhosis and later stages of liver failure. I meant to say it doesn't necessarily mean cirrhosis. I'm sorry. The toxins the liver have to relieve us from is wide and varied. Our bodies proteins and normal metabolism break down in the liver. Estrogens, progesterones are broken down in the liver, mercury from fish, stuff we breath...etc...etc... No Tylenol, no birth control pills? Do you have any lab results? Bilirubin results? I will check more into for you, but your liver is telling you something. You will however find out more from your doctor. S -- [ ] itching Hello everyone. Guest guest
Thank you Debora for posting and giving us all this info. love don in ks From: truthseeker103 <truthseeker103@...>Subject: [ ] Itching Date: Friday, July 3, 2009, 5:15 PM Elliana, I had a period of intense itching in 1988 when I was pregnant with my last child. I didn't know I had HCV at that time. They hadn't identified it yet, actually. But the itching was from deep inside. I used a hairbrush to scratch myself, especially my feet and hands. As soon as my son was born, I had a breakout on my chest and then it was over. I later realized that my body could not handle eliminating for both of us. I would start a detox program. I followed the Gerson program very closely for six weeks and eliminated my HCV symptoms: side pain, brain fog, fatigue, etc. It's an intense program but worth it. I was good for almost a year. The two most important parts of that protocol is organic vegetable juices and diet and coffee enemas. It took me two years to overcome my aversion to the enemas and do them. They make me feel so good. Hi everyone, I've been on the list for several years but haven't posted. Hi bob Larson. I see you on ozone, microelectricity and an old colloidal silver list and Duncan Crow's blog. We have taken the same courses of study. I'm 53, geno 2b and trying everything to feel better. I bounce around a little and sometimes get tired of the work, slack off and feel lousy again. I've done Gerson Therapy with excellent results, Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation, MMS, supplements: Alpha lipoic acid and milk thistle, colloidal silver. Right now I am doing ozone sauna's and vaginal and rectal insufflation. I'm about 6 weeks into this. I haven't had a Viral load test for several years. Last one was 6 million. A year ago my liver function tests were normal. I've been through a lot of emotional turmoil for several years: 5 fledgling kids, midlife marraige crisis. I KNOW that this has made me so sick. I can feel the strength drain right out of me. And the anger I feel over some of these difficult issues sets my liver on fire! I learned that in Chinese medicine, the liver is the seat of anger. So, I am really trying to let go of the things I cannot change and love and take care of myself so that my body can heal. When my liver is really sore, I use castor oil with oil of oregano and massage it into my side, front and back and put on an old t shirt and go to bed. It takes away my pain and the OOO is an antiviral. It's nice to see the list active again and all the good people here. God Bless us each one:)Debora------------------------------------
Guest guest
You need to figure out what's causing the itching. I once had severe itching and thought it was becasue I was working with fiberglass however I later discovered I had scabies. If you're sure it's from the HCV then try some of the itch creams. Start with hydrocortisone and go from there. Guest guest
Ellaina:I was sure that I did give my personal experience but perhaps the brain fog is so bad that I forgot to send it.Anyway - I have particularily sensitive skin to begin with and was grateful to find an article written by a HepC specialist that suggested just plain ordinary Petroleum Jelly after a shower to stop the itch. I used that my first time on treatment. Now on the market they have a Vaseline Intensive Care or Treatment Care and again, put on right after a damp dry shower - works like a gift for me.Why would you not go out in public because it's obvious something is wrong??? I look at those signs as an opportunity to tell anyone with the guts to ask, all about Hep C and what the public does not know. I refuse to be stigmatized by something I didn't ask to be afflicted with.GloriaFrom: edreifach <ellaina_dreifach@...> Sent: Friday, July 3, 2009 3:58:55 AMSubject: [ ] itching Hello everyone. Guest guest
The itching was a problem while on TX as is dry skin. I would wake my self up at night from scratching and have marks all over me. I know that there are just some places you can't itch in public. I became very aware of scratching all the time and tired to control it but it is hard when you just want to scrach your skin off. The best thing I bought myself was an oldfashioned wood back scratcher. Since it is just me and I didn't have anyone to ask.. " Hey can you scrach my back here " Benidral helped but just increased my exhustion. For me a nice warm (NoT HOT) bath with Aveeno Soothing Bath Treatment and the lotion helped. I am careful about products with chemicals that are absorbed threw the skin. Aveeno is all natural and my Dr. Recommemded it. Please remember to drink at least half your weight in OZ. of distilled water a day to help the elimenation of toxins and to keep you hydrated. SOOTHING BATH TREATMENTFor itchy, irritated skin, this soothing bath treatment is made of 100% pure natural colloidal oatmeal — an ingredient long recognized for its ability to relieve itching — that AVEENO® mills into an ultra-fine powder. When dispersed in water, this powder forms a soothing milky bath that works as a natural cleanser to provide temporary skin protection and relieves irritation and itching due to poison ivy/oak/sumac, rashes, insect bites, and eczema. It also soothes prickly heat, chicken pox, hives or sunburn. And, it's even gentle enough for sensitive skin. Additional Product Benefits Include: skin protectant, fragrance free, soap free WHERE TO BUY A line of body care products that are specially formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal and unique soothing ingredients for relief of itchy, extra dry skin...for healthy, beautiful skin. Guest guest
But don't forget - Vaseline now comes in much easier to use forms. Personally. I didn't mind the jelly because at that stage of itching I was willing to try anything and it worked!!! Now, I use the Intensive Care or may be called Treatment Care. Sure know when it's been a couple of days of not applying it all over after a shower.Yes, I do understand silence when this disease is still something we ourselves are trying to incorporate into our lives. I'm on my second round of Treatment to help battle the dragon and the end of my 5th year of that fight. In the last year or so, I came to understand that at least our Canadian governments have participated in feeding the public less than the truth and thereby making we heppers feel the stigmatization. So, now I try make the battle for public awareness a top priority. That's just me and my make up. That's why I sometimes step on toes of other heppers and really don't mean to be rude at all - just strongly opinionated. Drives my hubby and family crazy sometimes but then I've noticed changes in them too and the enormous amount of information that my mother and my hubby have researched for themselves. My 78 yr old mother particularily probably knows more about this condition than most heppers themselves.GloriaFrom: Ellaina <ellaina_dreifach@...> Sent: Saturday, July 4, 2009 6:28:46 AMSubject: Re: [ ] itching I guess I'm just embarrassed and not ready to tell the world.
