Guest guest
Its not always about prolonging, sometimes, especially with single working parents, its about surviving to be to able to continue to chelate. What worries me more is folks can see the gains when they stop and thinking they are getting them because they stopped, not because they can shine through during a break and the reason they are there is because of chelation Mandi in UK Yee old timer 144 rounds............ IMO simply prolonging the time fiestas improvement/recovery. It takes anywhere from 150-300 rounds already. Why prolong it > > > > > > > > How long should a break from chelation be? Guest guest
Probably because chelation sucks for severely toxic children. People have different opinions on this, but I am all for taking breaks when you have a child who is very reactive. I think the child's body needs a chance to regroup. My son has been chelating for about 2 1/2 years and we have only done 50 rounds maybe? I take breaks because maybe we want to eat phenols, or maybe it's a holiday and I can give a little sugar...to be honest, it would be a disaster if we ate these things between rounds 1-2 weeks apart! I want my kid to be a kid too, and detox makes you uncomfortable, really OCD'ish and sometimes we just want to part with that for a month, or two? I have said before though, the first round after taking a break sucks, but nobody is going to tell me not to take the breaks. I suggest just starting back up at a lower dose so as to cull the shock of metals moving in the system again. Good luck Zurama! Liz > > > > How long should a break from chelation be? Guest guest
I was simply asking if there was a specific reason for the break. I would assume that if it is just for personal reasons, then it would depend on how long you feel is needed. If it is for illness or some other reason, that may change the amount of time needed for a break. Guest guest
Nothing special.....I ran out of DMSA, and it's on it's way. I asked the question, because I had heard that it was possible for the body to keep getting rid of metals during a break. Something strange happened last week. Mickie got what I at first thought was chapped lips and it traveled to the sides of his mouth, then moved about an inch away form the sides of his mouth. I now think it is yeast or fungus, because all the creams and chap-stick I tried to fight it, didn't work, until I tried Nystatin. I'm wondering if this rash is related to the break from chelation, which has been about two weeks, or perhaps it has something to do with a few days break he took from VL3. I started him back on it right around the time the rash started. Guest guest
Yes but Mandi, I know of at least a couple people who have taken breaks, saw gains, and the breaks were the ONLY reason they continued chelation when they were ready to give up and try something else. Our long break (which was 2 months and unintended - I got very sick) produced some major gains and so I inspired others to try a break if they thought it wasn't working. They did, and they saw things they hadn't seen before, things that made them know it was working and caused them to continue. I totally understand what you are saying though, and if it weren't for the new, never seen before things, I don't think people would continue, but they are - I am. > > > > > > > > > > How long should a break from chelation be? Guest guest
I'm jealous of people who don't have to take breaks. I can only chelate every other weekend due to my childs schedule. It is taking F O R E V E R. I wish we could go every single weekend without that break in between. Deb > > > > > > > > > > > > How long should a break from chelation be? Guest guest
You're right, Liz. I've read posts of Andys where he has said that some kid's/people need the breaks. If I find them I will post. > > > > > > > > > > > > How long should a break from chelation be?
