Guest guest
Philipp,  I have used allicin over many months. I started slowly till I was on 6 a day. I was told garlic has sulphur and it might not be good if you have a sulphur problem. I tolerated it well.   From: sciucca1 <peretti@univ- paris1.fr> Subject: [ ] Herbs + antibiotics Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 10:58 AM  Hi, my name is philippe, I'm new on the forum. Had a tick bite in France long ago. I know that some antibiotics can not be used with some herbs, for instance berberine (found in coptis) is not to be used with macrolides. So it will be nice if can have a discussion about all the interactions. Also, I would like to know who used allicin ? Philippe
Guest guest
I've taken allicin. I took it for about 4 or 5 years while on antibiotics, to prevent candida yeast in the guts. Then this year i decided the allicin was too expensive and i took much less. Consequently, i got candida in the guts! It wasn't worth it, i made the wrong choice! I take Allimax brand. I used to take 900 mg, 3/day w meals. That prevented candida all those years. Now, i take 900 mg, once a day or less often. To fight candida i am now doing rifing on a GB-4000, as well as oregano oil pills, peppermint oil pills, Candex (=enzymes that dissolve candida), raw garlic, and GSE grapefruit seed extract. ----Purpleffoxglove@... Guest guest
I¹ve taken garlic for years to fight Lyme. I have taken up to 12 grams per day. Right now I¹m taking 3 grams per day. It has greatly helped to alleviate symptoms. The first time I had Lyme, I only took garlic and it pretty much eliminated symptoms. After getting bitten again (twice), the symptoms were more severe, so I did the garlic and the Buhner herbs. And still doing them, but at lower doses now. Guest guest
Re the peppermint oil, I recall reading that peppermint should be avoided by Lyme patients? deb > > I've taken allicin.
