Guest guest
My daughter is 6, we have just done the 1st round of DMSA 5MG AC chelation. We added all the supplements necessary per andy's list. We happen to do a RBC test a few days after this and her ALT is very high at 120. I had been giving her milk thistle as her AST has been slightly elevated for 3 months so wanted to be be careful. The only other med we are giving her is the anti-viral Famvir. We stopped Nizarol 3 months ago. I did a bit of google research and if I read it correctly it said ALT enzymes are not necessary from the liver but could be from muscle (stomach/heart/other muscles). Ironically my daughter got sick a few days after chelation...rolling fevers which was going around her classroom so don't think that was chelation specific. However what I am really concerned about is can I chelate with high liver enzymes? How do I bring the numbers down? Would it be best/safe to chelate with only ALA? (adding dmsa when we can lower levels) Is this easier on the liver? Could the heavy supp list be a burden(we did have this occur a year ago with DAN doc who liked heavy supplementation and our poor child started to look act very sick) We have already seen flicker of results after the 1st round (my daughter is a quick responder when something works) so I am beside myself.
