Guest guest
How old and how much does he weigh? [ ] AC Chelation, 1st Round, Increasing Doseage We did the first round of AC chelation for our son this weekend, without any incident. We started with 25 mg of ALA & 25 mg of DMSA. According to the Hair Test book, we were to start at 30 mg. Since there was no adverse effect after the first 24 hours, we increased to 50 mg. I know the maximum is 1 mg per pound. My question is should we continue to increase doseage just before we see some adverse side affects or until we reach the maximum? Is 25 mg increments at a time OK? BTW thanks to all who advised us about doing this ourselves & night time dosages. I set the alarm clock every 3 hours and it worked out fine. Guest guest
Rounds can build up, watch for that. You should also stay on the same dosage for the whole round, and only increase dosages after 5 or so rounds at the same dose. How much does your son weigh? It sounds like you might be going with old guidelines.. currently 1/8-1/4 mg per lb is the dosage. Stay at a dosage where you have gains and little side effects. There is not a linear relationship with dosage and excretion, so it isnt worth the risk to go too high of a dose. Guest guest
What I mean from that is that, you can build up a negative reaction from going too high of a dose, but it wont hit you until a couple of rounds down the line. Guest guest
I recommend staying on the same dose. Don't increase it. I made that mistake and did not realize how much of an effect it would have. My boy is 143 lbs. I use 25mg ALA every 3 hrs around the clock, every other weekend. I think it was round #7 or 8 when I increased to 33mg. It was terrible. You can search for my post if you like. In my post I mentioned that when people say don't increase the doseage, what they mean is, DON'T INCREASE THE DOSEAGE. It was way too hard and we went from having easy rounds to an extremely difficult round. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. He was miserable and it lasted for days. We just finished round #10 and we're staying on this doseage. I recommend you don't increase the doseage yet because I think you'll regret it, and he will suffer. Slow and low. Guest guest
Here was my Post #290627. You can read all the replies if you search for it. *************** So when everyone said " do not increase the doseage " , what they really meant was, " DO NOT INCREASE THE DOSEAGE. " I increased from 25mg to 33mg on round #9 and I really regret it. I don't cry too often, but this is pretty bad. Poor boy just really suffering, I can't fix it, I don't know what to do. I can't wait till this is over. He was doing so well and I ruined it. Guest guest
And a big AMEN to that. I experienced that myself. Preload the Candex, Candidaise, biotin, Oil of Oregano, and Caprylic Acid or yeast will kick your butt. (mouth sores, irritability, headaches, multiple food intolerances, snotty nose, aches, you name it...that's yeast and it's die-off) NOT fun. Thanks to everyone who educated me, maybe I can save your son some agony. I would actually back way down to 5mg each on both those chelator doses, but that's just me. I even started that low on myself and I'm now on 25mg DMSA and 10mg ALA. Guest guest
I just started too. Wondering the same question. I can NOT afford for my sons behavior to be any worse than it already is. My son is 8, weighs 49 lbs... i started him at 4mg per dose for the first 24 and thaught it may be too low so up'd to 6 then again to 8mg per dose. I'm looking for more info on using charcoal after the last round to swab the deck so to speak, is there any truth to that? > > From: J & T Real <jtreal@...> > Subject: Re: [ ] AC Chelation, 1st Round, Increasing Doseage > > Date: Monday, February 7, 2011, 8:12 PM > > Rounds can build up, watch for that. Guest guest
Hi Bruce, Don't increase a dose during a round. The goal is not to continually increase the dose, the goal is to prolong the positive results which means steady and consistent dosing. So, the minimum rounds to wait before upping the dose is 5 rounds. (We have been on the same dose for over 20 rounds.) For a 120lb child just starting, you should dose anywhere from 15mg (1/8) or 30mg (1/4); I wouldn't start on the high-end (1/2) until I know for sure the toleration level (reaction). It would probably be helping if you review the links below: http://onibasu.com/wiki/Cutler_protocol#Dosage_and_timing_of_chelators http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/  S. > >From: Bruce Desiderio <brucedenva@...> > >Sent: Mon, February 7, 2011 9:01:33 PM >Subject: Re: [ ] AC Chelation, 1st Round, Increasing Doseage > > >He is 10 years old and weighs 120lbs. > > > >From: Tammy Kuhn <tkuhn1@...> >Subject: Re: [ ] AC Chelation, 1st Round, Increasing Doseage > >Date: Monday, February 7, 2011, 7:45 PM > >How old and how much does he weigh? > [ ] AC Chelation, 1st Round, Increasing Doseage > >  > > We did the first round of AC chelation for our son this weekend, without any >incident. Guest guest
What I think she means is that when the metals start moving after doing several rounds in a row, there are changes in the body. The ones I see mostly are phenol intolerance, increased yeast overgrowth, adrenal fatigue, and increased obsessing (OCD stuff). This is why people stay on low doses, so they can manage these things when the metals are on their way out. > > > > From: J & T Real <jtreal@> > > Subject: Re: [ ] AC Chelation, 1st Round, Increasing Doseage > > > > Date: Monday, February 7, 2011, 8:12 PM > > > > Rounds can build up, watch for that.
