GABA made my 15 yo child's rage/aggression much worse.

Taurine is very calming. I give a healthy dose several times per day.

Biotin is very calming and makes him happy instead of angry. This helps with

yeast also. I give him a very healthy dose several times per day, but not later

than dinner time because it will cuase him to lose sleep. He'll be happy, but

awake all night if I give it too late.

Chelating AC protocol is the best thing to eliminate the rage/aggression. It

took 3 months to significantly reduce it. I recommend a low dose and do not

increase the doseage.

Hi Jeanne,

We have a 16 year old with similar issues. We have tried Gaba - and

didn't see any improvement. We introduced L-carnosine a couple of

months ago and have seen some improvements. We are using Taurine and it

is helping. However, we have recently started chelation with dmsa and

we are seeing the odd rage again. We are treating yeast with cp1 and cdx.

DMSA causes rage for my boy but not ALA. ALA at a low dose every 3 hours is

very calming for my boy. He is calmer on rounds than off.

Raising the dose caused issues so we will stay with very low dose ALA. The

improvements are so obvious, no reason to raise it anyway.

I'm not sure why the DMSA causes rage but I have tried it twice and I will not

again. Unless the mercury exposure was recent, DMSA is not required, so thank

goodness we can use the ALA without DMSA.

Jeanne,

Could it be the B vitamins?

I recall a few parents mentioning it on the ABMD group that their children

on methyl-B12 would show aggression after taking it. My husband noticed it with

me when I was receiving the mB12 injections at our DAN's office each week, and

our son was certainly grouchy-moody, angry after his dosing. I was irritable

and lash out verbally.

Since reading about this, I've reduced our son's dose of mB12, and I no longer

take the injections, but use small doses of sublingual.

I'm not sure if all of the vit B's give the same reaction, but you could try and

lower the dose amount, or give smaller doses throughout the day to equal your

total dose, of your mB12 if that is something you're giving your son and see if

there is a change.

We use CLO, but it isn't something I've noticed that reduces aggression in my

son. Epsom salts baths definitely help here at home, as well as activated

charcoal to 'take the edge off' of reactionary behavior.

Good point. Capsule B vitamins make my son aggressive.

Liquid Multi vitamins, which do have B's, don't.

I am not sure why.

Could be fillers in the capsules or the capsules themselves.

That's a good point. I need to check into them further.

Right now I am giving double the liquid vit's doseage and it is working ok.

GABA -- my son didn't tolerate. Some kids it helps calm, others it makes very

hyper.

DMG -- my son didn't tolerate, but he did really well on TMG once I gave it with

carnitine and folic acid. It did tend to increase yeast but was helpful for

many reasons.

Fish Oil -- caused major mean/aggressive behavior until I gave it with mito

cocktail, then it caused major improvements.

B6 -- my son didn't tolerate this until after about round 50 of ALA chelation.

Before chelation, it caused major hyper, after chelation it caused major

calmness. It did tend to increase yeast.

I'm trying to help with the aggressive behaviors not make them worse with adding

the fish oil.  What does the mito cocktail consist of?

Thank you.
