Guest guest
Unless you've already made up your mind on TD ALA, let me share my experience. My son was 3.5 years, and we were very new to chelation and decided to start after our first DAN consultation. The recommendation was pretty high dose and once in 8 hours... that's when I seriously looked up this list and good sense prevailed on us to do a very low dose of TD DMSA once every 4 hrs. It was expensive on $$ too. We had that TD-DMSA/ALA mindset for another 6 months at that time, and then we gave up mainly because all pharmacies would need a prescription to get it done. So we started oral DMSA/ALA and never looked back. Today my son is 7yrs and significantly better. Though nowhere close to recovery - we're at 12mg DMSA/6mg ALA. Given the money spent on other supplements, I am glad we didn't have to go TD-DMSA/ALA route. And oral DMSA/ALA is much simpler once we get used to it. Also the fact that TD-DMSA/ALA has a shelf life of 6months was another problem for us. On the technical side, if you're consulting someone knowledgeable on AC protocol and he/she agrees to TD-ALA use, then it's fine. > > > > > > Has anyone had good results with a compunding pharmacy for Transdermal Ala ? > > > > > >
Guest guest
We make TD ALA ourselves at home by mixing the proper dose with a small amount of hand lotion. TD dmsa doesn't really work because it is suceptible to oxidation. Like it is said below, oral method is the best, but if you must go TD you can make it yourself.
