Guest guest
Any constipation? Bloating for my son was bacteria. He looked like a budda statue and was chronically constipated until we dealt with the bacteria. It could also be yeast. Have you done a stool test (CDSA) or an Organic Acid test? Those would tell you if yeast or bacteria are issues. Karla > > Hello everyone ...Iam so tired of giving my son enzymes with food and them not working or something is going on . Guest guest
How did you get rid of the bacteria? I'm using Olive Leaf Extract but boy does it cause die off. I'm not sure whether it's strong enough and I'm almost thinking about asking Dr for an antibiotic. What did you use? Guest guest
Same thing here my daughter didn't have any bacteria show up on the OAT test but had a small amount of yeast..we treated with Difulcan. She hardly eats and ALWAYS has a bloated belly. Did you ever check titers? This is just my thought my daughter has high titers for MMR really really high for Rubella 385.3 and I am just wondering if that's why she has a bloated belly. In the book Healing and Preventing Autism in the chapter on viruses they talk about the measles hanging out in the gut and causing inflammation. They are described as being like a canker sore in your mouth. My daughter also needs help to have a daily bowel movement. Anyway I am going to try the high Vitamin A protocol and see what happens(if her belly goes down)..with the help of my dan Dr Usman. Another question for you does your child chew/bite on anything? My daughter has done this since her MMR I have been told that it was due to a lack of Zinc which she takes and also because of yeast but even then she was on Difulcan she was still doing it.I think that she is doing it because she is in pain and when her measles flare maybe that's when I am seeing more of the chewing/biting. But of course I haven't been able to find anyone else who agrees but I am hoping after the high Vitamin A then I should see it stop.I am just wondering if there is a connection with her chewing/biting, her bloated belly and the high titers. Every time she gets into the bath I want to cry, small skinny legs and this big bloated belly..looks like is 9 months along. 's active aloe I was told can help with inflammation....I think that whole foods carrys it. ________________________________ From: marium <mariummujtaba@...> Sent: Sun, January 30, 2011 6:02:36 PM Subject: [ ] Re: help with tummy  weve done an OATs test and stool testing no bacteria or yeast..I just dont get it ...I do havto make him poop...with suppositories..magnesium and vit c doesnt seem to help.We have done many antifungals, from ampho B, to difflucan for a year and a half. Ahould I go to a GI doctor? > Some things I've done to help heal the gut and get off enzymes: Combo of glyconutrients, coconut oil, and Celtic sea salt. Gelatin. I made a hot drink with melted gelatin and fruit juice, but for a child that young, I would be inclined to make Knox Blox using fruit juice and maybe fresh fruit or something in it. Something very kid appealing but still healthy. Lots and lots of potato starch. I made potato soup daily for a time. If the kid won't eat potato soup, you could try homemade mashed potatoes or German potato balls. Lettuce. I ate great quantities of lettuce for some months. Probiotics. I consumed these in the form of organic yogurt but if you are GFCF, you can get probiotic supplements. Good luck with this. He is 4 1/2 and everytime he eats his stomach exapnds soo much , This was yeast at my house, and food intolerance. >>I look at him and want to cry everytime. What is going on ? Guest guest
Which enzymes are you using? Are you using houston's? Is your son GFCF and soy and corn free (those two are super common crossallergens with gluten and casein)? If he's not off all grains, I'd try a no grain diet and see what happens. I'd also look at a total elimination diet to see what else are suspects for your son (if you haven't already done some food sensitivity tracking, that is). Some meats/eggs are very problematic for kids with impaired digestion/vaccine/merc related issues--eggs (because antibiotics and many vax are grown on chicken eggs), chicken (for same reason), turkey (similar reason). Have you tried just grassfed bison and lamb for a week or two (grass fed, don't tend to be genetically modified, and young animals have built up less toxic levels of medications). I personally wouldn't go to a GI doctor. But that's me. There's a book Diet Wise that will guide you thru the maze of food allergies. It's not the ultimate solution--I believe the chelation is the solution--but it can help make life more agreeable when living with a constipated child. We haven't been long on the enzymes, but I wanted to offer my experience so far. I now see that DS had wicked die-off for the first 3 mos on Houston's Nofenol. I tried and tried to introduce Trienza but we then had constipation worse than he's ever had. So on the advice of others here, I then added GSE. That helped with the rashiness and a little with the constipation. i really think introducing enzymes is an art form. I introduced nofenol in tiny fingernail sized increases over about 2 mos (that's how slow I have to go with introducing anything to DS). Trienza and/or AFP chewables were sooooo constipating, even in fingernail doses, I backed off it entirely till further notice. I ended up with a cap and a half per meal of Nofenol, but rashiness came back. Only when I added the GSE did we get even a little bit of progress with eliminating the constipation. Rashiness continued for a month or two, possibly three. Again at the advice of others here, I added magnesium (houston's chelated magnesium--i grind up the cap and added it in same way till I got to about 1/8 of a tab 2 meals a day). Fantastic regular pooping. Now I can give 1 cap Nofenol and I can even give Trienza a coupla times a day, and still we have fab pooping. So my observation, purely from our experience so far, is that if the kid already has a constipation tendency (and no other obvious causes, tho I think parasites is a big issue), Nofenol increasing doses, with GSE, works, but there's a big die-off period where it looks like the enzymes aren't working. They're working, it's just a healing crisis (Herxheimer reaction) rather than a " health crisis. " I think the trick is to assist the healing crisis to pass quickly and safely for the kid. Hence the magnesium and GSE. I am looking forward to exploring the OLE and OoO. Another observation--magnesium in the right doses is GONNA make the kid poop easily. It's just an art form finding the right dose. Persistence over a period of days and weeks is necessary, and a quasi-scientific approach to increasing doses--ie don't try all different things/take it away then give it the next day, but rather increase very slowly over time, but not the enzyme for gluten and casein first. That one is horrendously constipating. We're still mid parasite cleanse--I do believe we are the poopingest family right now. Even the dog is taking huge poops. Baby's doing them too. DH is looking pretty peaky, but also eliminating enormously. I'm definitely passing things I didn't eat! best wishes, and thanks to all who gave advice on the enzymes and how to deal with the other symptoms. Son went thru a massive growth spurt in the 4th and 5th months of enzymes. Grew 2 inches. Now I understand the month of waking in the night for eating smoothies! He was able to digest more and he wanted to catch up! Fiona > > Hello everyone ...Iam so tired of giving my son enzymes with food and them not working or something is going on .
