Guest guest
Amino acids and OLE do conflict. We elected to stop using aminos while on OLE. There is a previous post you can search for that cites references. Just search for OLE and amino acids. > > did someone say we should stop amino support caps with OLE also or was it just to stop it with valtrex? > > --------------------------------- > Feel free to call! Also tried rinsing off the blue coating, drying them, crushing with mortar and pestal, and putting in juice (very bitter). A syringe with some strong tasting fluid to mask the taste of the Valtrex seems like the only way to go, but shooting it in his mouth 3x/day for a long period of time seems pretty difficult for him and me. Guest guest
If I am not mistaken, it is certain amino acids, like lysine, glycine, cystein (including NAC) and maybe a few others that might interfere with the OLE. Guest guest
Hello Wanita The recommended dose should be included on the bottle when you buy it, or seperately on a sheet of instructions. For the OLIVE LEAF I have, its 5ml per day, three times a day. However, when I saw all sorts of horrible stuff coming out the other end, I was ending up taking 4 times the recommended dose - I just wanted it out NOW. Guest guest
ita I was on something similar called 'pin pot' tonic (also called pinnacle tonic) before the olive leaf - I changed when the sales assistant advised me that the 'olive leaf' was better - so I'm not sure if it would be the same for me as for you. It was around day 4 for me however different things came out at different times. And I'm not sure if I want to Gross everyone out with the details - I guess the moderator can block the message if she feels fit - but I think there is a lesson to be learnt in my experience for everyone so I'll tell my story anyway. I didn't know what was wrong with me - and doctors were useless. I felt as sick as hell to the point where I could barely get off the bed - but I knew it wasn't depression. Doctors wanted me to sign their forms to assign them medicare benefits and not much more. So I learnt everything I could off the net, and worked out my symptoms were consistent with candida. I had a nursing background and a degree in psychology with honours - so I knew how to search out information. I purchased the two things mentioned above, and got a shock that wasn't far off finding my 9 week old baby 14 years ago who died from cot death. Without suspecting anything, I first had all manner of worms come out the other end - I thought they would never end. I wanted to have my self put down. Had it been my dog I would have. This is important for everyone to know because candida often occurs with worm infection. And whereas the stuff you buy from the chemist kills some varieties of worms - the olive leaf and other tonic kills just about anything in the body that shouldn't be there. Then some odd looking fleshy pink things came out. They looked harmless enough. About 20 to 30 came out, then they stopped coming. Two weeks after I matched them up exactly to photos and descriptions and symptoms tumours. I have an appointment for a cancer scan next month - but to be honest, I'm just plain scared. Then there were some large things which made me feel dizzy and sick and caused tummy pains the night before they came out. I had never felt that way before. I won't even attempt to describe them because no-one would believe me. The best purpose for describing them would be for a psychiatrist to declare I was completely nuts and sign a certificate that would allow me to get a pension for psychiatric disability (delusional disorders). There were perhaps 7 of these 'creatures' which looked like mushrooms with very long stalks. After that there was funny creepy looking fungal stuff - at that point I had gotten a camera, photographed it, then frozen it and put it in the freezer as evidence. It all seems to be out now - though I believe the candida is now dying off as I have the typical die-off symptoms - however I have to make the point that with theses die-off symptoms, I am taking this tonic at about 4-6 times the recommended dose - and have now cut back because I think I have overdone it as I spend yesterday feeling really strange. Believe it or not - a good dose of junk food - which I took out of desperation to stop whatever it was causing me to feel sick, did the trick. I'm guessing it was excessive die-off. I guess the message I want to get across to everyone is that you may have something else inside you beside candida making you ill - and this Olive leaf dragged out things I had no idea I had. ita - the stuff I have has a yellow label on it. There are three little green pictures on the front - an olive leaf, a little Green picture of Australia and a green olive. I come from Adelaide, so I purchased mine from the Burnside village. The large bottle is much more economical than the small bottle which is about $27. I had a 'black sheep' brother who lived with me for a month with his 8 year old child. Heaven knows where he had been - but he had an enlarged stomach which I now believe contained all the same infections that I had 18 months later. I believed he passed them on to me. I don't want to have more contact with him - (he costs me the earth ever time I get involved with him) so I wrote a letter to Flinders Medical centre where he receives outpatient treatment for a different condition. Guest guest
Dear Helen - and ita, I want to thank you also, Helen for sharing your story. I was fascinated by the stuff you described. I am sure you must feel much better in all ways to have that gone... And ita - I am also a pretty new user of Olove leaf. I have the extract and the capsules. Have been taking it for only about a week, and am feeling less itchy for the most part, so I am hoping... Jo --------------------------------- Want to be your own boss? Learn how on Small Business. Guest guest
> > Dear Group, > May I ask what the thoughts are on taking 'Olive Leaf'? > Would it be beneficial in the battle of Candida? > regards ==> S, there are many natural substances that are very beneficial and also antifungal. If you are thinking of taking it for its antifungals properties IMO the ones I recommend are much better and more effective, i.e. raw garlic, oil of oregano & clove oil. Guest guest
I believe its ok for olive leaf. Our naturpath has given it to our kids. My daughter was 8 when she started taking it. I gave her 1 tsp a day. You are suppose to give it to them for like 3 months to help build their immune system, and then again if they do get something. My daughter still caught colds, but they weren't as severe. I have heard that beta glucans was something good to take for the immune system. I think herbalhealer.com carries it. You could do a search for it.
