Hi, all, this is my first post here. As a matter of fact, I just ran into this

forum last night when researching on internet about colostrum and possible

die-off. Below is what happened with my son, Jasper.

It all started with this page:

http://www.beyondprobiotics.net/capracolostrum.htm

The benefits seem so promising that I ordered one bottle immediately and gave

Jasper 1 capsule on Thursday (for kids, dosage is 1x2, but we always only use

half of the recommended dosage for the sake of my son's super-sensitivity to

anything new). Thursday evening saw Jasper in fever, and some rash over his

tummy. I consider that detoxing. Thrilled, I ordered two pints of raw goat

colostrum milk from a farm almost two hours drive away, and picked up the milk

in heavy rain. Friday morning, we gave Jasper two capsules per the instruction

that colostrum should be double dosed at the beginning to fight candida and

yeast most efficiently. Then Jasper vomited at breakfast, but his fever and

rash gradually disappeared. I gave Jasper an enema yesterday afternoon, after

which I gave him 1 tsp of raw goat colostrum milk. As expected, Jasper

struggled terribly, since he had never tasted any product of goat before. I

managed to get that tea spoon of milk down. Unfortunately, Jasper had another

throw-up a couple of minutes after. He slept pretty well that night though.

On Saturday, I gave Jasper about 4 oz of raw colostrum milk plus 2 capsules.

What happened was that Jasper had 3 bad vomit through out the day.

Now I'm really confused whether this is die-off, or bad casein response.

Any ideas? Any thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much in advance.

I just saw this and also that there hasn't been a response yet. I hope your

child is well now. Two quick comments as I have to get to work:

Certainly any food substance can cause a reaction, especially if given for

the first time. Usually I would recommend that you stop it for a period of

three to four weeks and then try again.

A die off reaction certainly is very common and may occur with any

colostrum. One way of absorbing the toxins from the die off is activated

charcoal.

Note that another possibility for cause of Jasper's reaction is an infection

from the raw milk product. This is unlikely if the source of your products

is a quality one.

How is Jasper doing now (I see the email was from two days ago)?
