Guest guest
There is going to be a news item on CTV National News tonight (Sat, Mar. 5) about MERCURY IN AMALGAMS. It should be on at 10pm on the CTV news channel, and 11pm on the main CTV National News. Check for local times. The news started last Monday when the Canadian government announced a proposal to ban the manufacture, import and sale of certain mercury containing products starting 2012. http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/story/2011/02/28/environment-mercury-ban.html http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/Canada/20110301/mercury-containing-products-110301/ The proposed regulations would ban the sale of thermometers, thermostats and batteries containing mercury and would also set limits on the amount of mercury in some products exempted from the ban such as fluorescent lamps, mercury vapor lamps and automobile headlamps. AMALGAM FILLINGS have NOT been included in the proposal!! (The mercury content of vaccines wasn't mentioned either!!). The public has until May 12 to comment on the proposed rules. After the CTV news item airs be sure to go to the CTV web site and leave comments or email them in!!!
