Guest guest
> My little guy is 5 and is currently on round #39 of AC protocol. Lately he has been mouthing/sucking/chewing metallic things, such as cars, wheels on airplanes, wings of airplanes, even the strip on our garage steps. Does anyone happen to know what would cause this. It seems to have gotten worse recently? I am guessing it's a vitamin/mineral deficiency? This meant yeast overgrowth at my house. Guest guest
Zinc took care of this for us. There are a couple of other minerals that can effect it as well but zinc is most common. Generally dosed at 1 mg per pound + 20mgs for children. divided in 2-4 doses per day and always given with food. If you are already at that dose you might try a different form. Monomethionine and Picolinate are best absorbed. Some children don't tolerate the picolinate form. Glycinate is another well tolerated form. Guest guest
He's already getting 50 mg in his vit/min mix. So I guess I should find out what form of zinc it is and if they can't change to the more absorbable form, I will have them take out and supplement on my own. Thanks! Guest guest
So he weighs 30 pounds then? If not then he can take more. Also investigate picolinate, citrate or chelate forms of zinc per chance he's not using the form he's on very well. > > > > > > > > > > >
