Guest guest
Good morning. I used TD-DMSA for over 1 year. I am using oral DMSA right now, with ALA. My son (age 10) has completed about 125 rounds between the two methods. According to French urinary porphryins and DDI urine tests, my son has issues with lead toxicity. I continued with DMSA for that fact. So, when do I know it is OK to stop the DMSA and move on to ALA only? I don't do any testing anymore; no more DAN! involvement. I have not done any testing, outside of a CBC/metabolic panel, for close to 2 years. I am considering finishing this last bottle of DMSA and moving on. I thought I'd ask anyone here in case there is something I am overlooking. He is doing very well. Although there are some residual features of Autism (difficulty with language, social awkwardness, minor rigidity in routine), a recent PhD contact put him more toward ADD than ASD. We are on the right track! Thanks, Pam
