Guest guest
Sheila, Life Solutions has a liquid that I know Andy has said is okay. 1 Tablespoon = 50 mg, so easy to dose little kids or big kids, > > Hi, Andy, > > I wondered if you knew or had any experience with liquid ALA. > > I'm shopping online and found one liquid product, but it has other ingredients in it which aren't found in a basic ALA capsule. > > I also wondered if there was a difference in effectiveness between a capsule and liquid. I understand that a capsule has a certain amount of time-release involved, but does that truly matter? > > I'm interested in the liquid because I want to be able to lower the dosage if I find that 100 or 200 mg will initially be too strong. It would be easy enough to cut the dose measurement with a liquid, and so I won't have to buy a bottle of 50 mg caps, but if there is a benefit to using the capsules over a liquid, then I would appreciate knowing. > > Thank you for your time, > > Sheila >
Guest guest
If your only concern is the dosing you should look into Kirkman labs 25mg ALA capsules. I can't comment on the liquid but I just wanted you to be aware that you can get 25mg capsules which are easy to split for 12.5mg doses. > > Hi, Andy, > > I wondered if you knew or had any experience with liquid ALA. > > I'm shopping online and found one liquid product, but it has other ingredients in it which aren't found in a basic ALA capsule. > > I also wondered if there was a difference in effectiveness between a capsule and liquid. Guest guest
That is the only brand I found for consumption. Thank you for responding, . I need to look into it more and call the manufacturer about the " natural flavor blend " in it's ingredients. Appreciatively, Sheila > > > > Hi, Andy, > > > > I wondered if you knew or had any experience with liquid ALA. > > > > I'm shopping online and found one liquid product, but it has other ingredients in it which aren't found in a basic ALA capsule. > > > > I also wondered if there was a difference in effectiveness between a capsule and liquid. Guest guest
Yea, there's some other stuff in the liquid, some kids might react to it and I think the powder is better if you can get it down them. But for some kids or parents, this would be a Godsend. You have to weigh the good vs questionable benefit. Sure beats dividing up all those little capsules I did for 188 rounds, that's for sure. But they didn't have anything like this when we started. > > > > > > Hi, Andy, > > > > > > I wondered if you knew or had any experience with liquid ALA. > > > > > > I'm shopping online and found one liquid product, but it has other ingredients in it which aren't found in a basic ALA capsule. > > > > > > I also wondered if there was a difference in effectiveness between a capsule and liquid. Not for ALA. >I understand that a capsule has a certain amount of time-release involved, but does that truly matter? Guest guest
Thank you for responding, Andy and 'billymadison'. I'm doing my budget calculations today for chelating both my son and I. I like Kirkman products, but I may just buy the liquid since it could be easier to drink versus a cap or tab in the mouth in the middle of the night.
