I am not Andy, but I was able to remove digestive enzymes at about round 50 of ALA chelation. There were still a few foods that my son could not eat until I loaded a few supplements, but most of his digestive issues were resolved at round 50 of ALA chelation. Guest guest
Dana, Do you think it will take longer at a lower doseage? I have taken him down to 12.5mg ALA every 3 hours because it seems easier on him. We only just finished round #12. It really breaks my heart to see him in so much agony over food and the GI doctor can't figure anything out at all. I have taken him on a low oxalate diet and I see that any food with high oxalates makes him rage. Hopefully that will be our ticket for a while. I have honestly never seen anyone in so much agony, and he is down to skin and bones. This morning he actually made himself throw up because he was in so much pain. Yes, but lower doses generally risk fewer side effects. >>I have taken him down to 12.5mg ALA every 3 hours because it seems easier on him. Then I would keep that dose, at least for the next 10 rounds or so. > We only just finished round #12. There are other brands that can help also. I still had to remove a few foods, but the enzymes allowed him to eat most foods without problems. >>I have taken him on a low oxalate diet and I see that any food with high oxalates makes him rage. If he tolerates B6/magnesium, give him that. B6 will help the oxalate issue. Dana
Guest guest
Digestive enzymes help and he takes them with every meal/snack. I just gave him a B-Plex with his cookies and he is very happy an hour later. I will add that supplement back in again, especially since it helps with the oxalates. Thank you, Dana.
