Guest guest
Hi All,  this is a scam ... I got the exact same frantic message from a different person last year. disregard it. From: maureen scarboro <mwsgts@...> Subject: [ ] Terrible Experience!!! To: Date: Thursday, March 3, 2011, 5:12 AM  I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, I came down here to United Kingdom for a  short vacation unfortunately i was mugged at the park of the hotel where i stayed, all cash, credit card and cell phone were stolen off me but luckily for me i still have my passport with me. I've been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and my return flight leaves in few hours from now but am having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel  manager won't let me leave until i settle the bills.I'm freaked out at the moment. Guest guest
What is crazy about that email. My mom got one from our friend. It was a little believable because he does visit the UK (his kids mother lives there) but my mom called him. He reported it to the cops or something. So ya total scam Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone with Nextel Direct Connect [ ] Terrible Experience!!! Guest guest
yeah... I almost fell for the first " stranded in the UK'  email I got. Little did I know she wasn't in the UK at all but home safe and sound. Now scammers are using the names(emails) of people we know...very sneaky.  The online scams are getting worse...so watch out!  From: maureen scarboro <mwsgts@...> Subject: [ ] Terrible Experience!!!
