It is ok to use ALA as long as it has been at least 3 months since last

exposure.

The doses you are using are too high to start. In the frequent dose chelation

group we usually suggest adults start at 12.5 mg/dose. The bottom end of Andy's

dose range is 1/8 mg/lb, which means an 180 lb person would start at 22.5 mg (or

25 mg). The dose should be adjusted depending on side effects. There will be

less side effects at lower doses. Try several rounds of each chelator by itself

to assess side effects and determine appropriate dose before combining them. It

is best to chelate at the doses where side effects are manageable so that rounds

won't be stopped early and the person can chelate on a regular basis.

Alka seltzer gold may help with brain fog.

Lower the dose. Your dose is too high to start out with.

Any reason for starting ala first? And certainly DO NOT start the dmsa at 100mg.

Dmsa helps reduce the side effects of ala...so taking them together makes

chelation A LOT more comfortable.

dosing per pound applies more to children. Adults should begin with low

reasonable doses like 12-25mg. And if those are tolerated without side effect,

they can be raised slowly. If they create side effects they should be lower. I

began at 12.5mg of dmsa. And after some months was able to add 5mg of ala. And

very slowly worked my way up over the years. There's no hurry because you are

going to be chelating for a long time anyway.

My advice...use 25mg of dmsa/ala together on your next round. And be sure you

are dealing with things like yeast and taking supplements.

It's a lot harder to dose adults by weight because you almost always end up

taking a dose higher than you can stand.

I'm using 25mg dmsa/ala and I'm on round 76. I have worked my way up to 50mg in

the past and paid dearly for it. So unless you are tolerating it without feeling

badly....its fine to use smaller doses.
