Guest guest
This is not the place to attack the Catholic church. I will be glad, privately, to defend the history, etc, of the Catholic church, but since we should not take over this chelation forum with something so OT, I feel the attack should not be made here, since it would be wrong to spend forum time and space in response. But this is my church, and I am tire of taking PC punches of it in the media, etc. > > The Catholic church is occult, and it has perpetrated occult leadership for > centuries. Guest guest
I agree. The slander of the Catholic church really is not appropriate or on topic for this list and I can't see where it contributes anything productive at all to the discussion. Lots of people living with the kind of stress that list members here have turn to religion to help make it through a very dark time in their lives. They should feel comfortable posting here and not feel the need to defend their religion. For the record: I'm not religious and I have plenty of scathing opinions related to religion, but this is completely not the place for something like that. Guest guest
Hope you guys weren't jinking I was slandering the church. I was raised Catholic, too, and I respect the church. I was just stating historical fact regarding Galileo and did not mean it as a slander, just making the correlation to how long it took for them to accept Galileo was right. The Church at that time was THE governing body, so they were much like our government today. Any entity resists change. We like things comfortable and to stay the same. It is human nature. it is often very hard to get the populous to accept new idea. AS far as the other post regarding the church. It was so FAR OUT there that I just ignored it. Sometimes if you ignore people who like to engage in fanatical prejudice, they go away. I rely on my faith and prayer everyday!
Guest guest
I didn't. I felt your point was " new ideas are frequently not warmly welcomed, even ideas that later earn great respect/acceptance " , basically. I thought the post after that really went quite a stretch to use your remark as a jumping off point for their views. Guest guest
Me too! it was so way out there that I just ignored it. Sometimes when people do that, they are just baiting other people. Thanks.
