Thyroid and chelation question

Good Morning,

My son's thyroid test came back again showing it to be on the very low end of

normal. We started giving him Armour Thyroid back in August to address his low

thyroid numbers (started at 7.5mg and slowly increased after each test), he is

currently taking 22.5mg of Armour Thyroid but our latest thyroid test came back

showing his thyroid is actually going down not up, how can this be? Our DAN doc

now wants us to increase the thyroid med to 30mg. But if its not been helping

(in fact its been slowly getting worse), will it even help, are we missing

something? How could the numbers be slowly going down further instead of going

up?

We are also about to start 15th round of chelation this weekend. He is almost 5

and depending on the day between 30 to 32 lbs (VERY small for his age). We

started him with 4mg DMSA every four hours for the first 5 rounds, we saw

nothing positive or negative during those rounds. On the 6th round we increased

to 6mg every 4 hours, and have stayed at that dose for the last 9 rounds.

Again, during these rounds we have seen nothing really positive or negative. We

plan on increasing this weekend to 8mg. Am I increasing to quickly, should we

wait longer? Could the chelation be a reason why his thyroid numbers are not

getting better? Unfortunately our son is non-verbal and can't tell us how he is

feeling, so we are constantly playing a guessing game.

Thank you for any insight or advice you may have.

Kara
