Guest guest
Dear natural, If there is no nitrogen in the system, then there should be no bends, because it is nitrogen that causes the problem, as it comes out of solution with the depressurization. But, the HBOT chambers always bring the pressure down slowly. will be able to answer this. I still think the pool idea is a lot simpler and cheaper, and harder to screw up. And if something goes wrong, you can just surface in a few seconds. Best of Health! Guest guest
Dear , Thank you for the information. I wish I had access to someone with your willingness to help people without charging them a fortune. Unfortunately, I'm all the way across the continent from you. Please excuse my American slang--yes, " a pop " means per application. I was charged $350 for each IV ozone treatment, plus another $100 for HBOT. However, my ears couldn't handle the HBOT so I only tried that twice. Peggy >>Maybe those persons giving the application of I.V. ozone are going or working for the money. We are a non-profit organization, please visit: www.cancer-alternatives.com Thank you. M.D. P.S. " a pop " mean per application? Our costs per application is .20 (twenty cents) IT IS TRUE!>>

Guest guest
Dear Saul, Do you know of any way to enhance the oxygen level in a room. My brother-in-law, is very ill capable of utilizing about 30% of his lung capacity as he comes home from the hospital in Ft. Myers, Fla. My sister has been told to contact Hospice as it is anticipated his need for oxygen will exceed the small amount he receives through his plastic tube to the nostrils. He has had emphysema for a number of years. Vitamin O didn't help I don't know of any remedy but thought you may have a recommendation. Guest guest
Dear Saul, My last post to you is answered in your book THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR THE HUMAN BODY page 108, but i suspect my bro-in-law is too weak and fragile to undertake the cleanses, but you do have a comprehensive recommendation for Emphysema. I will advise him of the vitamins and supplements you have listed on page 108. even if he can't undertake the cleanses recommended. Guest guest
I would think that an aranizer air purifer would be great for him. Ozonated water if you have access to an ozone generator. Guest guest
Hello Dr , can you post your address again, so that I can email it to several friends? I've been to Mexico, and seen a a large percentage of the population is in dire straits, even without a severe illness. If we can each give a small amount, it might add up and help some of the less fortunate patients.

Guest guest
, I was on my way out the door yesterday when I got your email. I am a subscriber to several hyperbaric listservs and recently started a list to help parents access HBOT for their children through Medicaid. I encourage you to subscribe. As a member, you can go to the member website and download about 15 or 20 files to help you " make your case " with your state Medicaid agency. mailto:medicaid-subscribe medicaid/files/ The files are in pdf (portable document format), which means they can be open and read by any computer that has Adobe Acrobat reader. If you don't have Acrobat, it's a free download from http://www.www.acrobat.com. >Hi , > I have a number of questions about the HBO therapy, and you seem to >be the most knowledgeable person on the list. I'm not a physician, only a dad. Whatever I've learned I have learned primarily from the various lists. There's an excellent paper in the files section that carries the title " How HBOT works " . The main question is, >what are any negative side effects, whether short- or long term? Can it >harm my daughter? The most recommended pressure is 1.5 ATA which is the equivalent to about 16 feet underwater. One very minor inonvenience is barotrauma, which is a temporary pressure on the ears (I wouldn't call it a side effect since it's temporary). She needs to be able to clear her ears. I don't know much about life in Alaska but my understanding is that folks regularly fly planes to get around the state. If so, you've felt the differences in air pressure when you ascend from take-off and as you descend. The same phenomena occurs in a hyperbaric chamber. Even if your daughter has difficulty clearing her ears, if the descending time is slow enough--perhaps 15 minutes--then she still should be able to clear her ears from just swallowing. If she still has trouble, you can always put tubes in her ears. > I have learned we have them here in town, and they have just >recently gotten Medicaid approval, It would be *extremely* helpful if you could fax me documentation of this. I am trying to get as much documentation from all the states that are reimbursing hyperbaric oxygen for brain-injured children because sharing this with the states who are not currently reimbursing brings them up to a comfort level that makes it easier to make a decision to go ahead and pay for it. If you can get something in writing from Alaska Medicaid that is on their letterhead or has their logo or some other insignia and fax it to me it would be great. If you fax it to me at 509/275-1618, it will come to me as an email attachment. I can then convert this to a pdf file and post it on medicaid/files/ The efax number 509/275-1618 actually goes to Washington state, so maybe that wouldn't be too much of a long distance charge. If you can't fax any documentation, please mail it to me and I'll convert it later. so I am now starting to find a doctor >to refer Kaitlyn for the therapy. Unfortunately here in Anchorage it's >$600 a session, so without Medicaid, it won't be happening. Guest guest
Let's please NOT backchannel. Then one person gets useful information that an entire list of hundreds of people could get. What is the point of asking people to backchannel? I don't get it. The whole reason I wrote the article with Byron White was to get information out that could help people we don't know and would never meet. IMHO it is selfish (tho I'm sure not intended that way) to ask for backchannelling--it means that people who need help won't get the answers. This way, the information has a chance to get out to lots of people. We have a group, lyme and mild hyperbaric, moderated, which anybody on here can request to join. It's not super active but it is a good list and has great archives, imo.

Guest guest
Well, I can add a little to what I wrote in the article. For example, in January I flew out to Tucson. Flying, especially a stopover, is not good for lyme (hypoxia, lower pressure). I developed what I call a " lymegraine " . I hadn't had one since late AUgust, again while travelling. My home chamber has basically rid me of them and if I ever start to get one, I get in the chamber for 20- 30 minutes. So there I was in Tucson, on an assignment at a horse ranch, and totally screwed up by a lymegraine. So I called Lance (who posted here) and said, please, find me someone in Tucson with a chamber so I can get in for half an hour and get rid of my lymegraine. And within an hour I had two names. I went over to a doctor's (she has one in her home for self treatment of m.s.) and she kindly put me in it for half an hour, and my lymegraine slowly receded and within a few hours was a mere whisper of a headache. I was very grateful. I use my chamber as a kind of adjunctive boost. If I know I have to do something, like travel, or go to a business dinner, I make sure to get in. Otherwise I use it about every 4-5 days. But there are times I am more stressed and need it more often. It has not cured my lyme but it has greatly helped my quality of life. I know that on our lyme and hyperbaric list, that " noodlydoo " got one for his lyme, he also does antibiotics, and he feels its very helpful. You can also read the list moderator's postings, early on, about how it helped him.
