Guest guest
If I could share my experiences with antibiotics for bacteria, it might change your view. My now five year old had MAJOR Clostridia issues, confirmed with both stool and OAT tests. We did three courses of pulsed Flagyl combined with Diflucan and Nystatin (because the antibiotics allow the yeast to get out of control). So it was ten days on, ten off and then ten on again. He was a dream while taking the antibiotics (after the die-off, of course), but ALWAYS within 6-8 weeks, the bacteria symptoms would be creeping back in and before long, we were back at square one or worse! It wasn't until a different DAN! doctor recommended the biofilm protocol (WITHOUT EDTA) that things changed for us. In case you don't know what the biofilm protocol is, you use a specific enzyme on an empty stomach, then 30-60 min later, give the antimicrobials, an hour later you mop-up with either charcoal or PactaSolC. We stopped the vicious cycle with antibiotics, because they worsen the gut condition by killing off all the good guys and unfortunately probiotics don't replenish all the strains we need (like the Oxalobactor species which devours oxalates, so most of our kids also have high oxalates) we added additional probiotics that target bacteria like Sacc B and Culturelle in high doses and we did the biofilm protocol for a few months using only natural antimicrobials, like GSE, OoO, OLE, Neem, Uva Ursi, Caprylic acid...we rotated some of these things in and out, but kept a few of the main staples on at all times, like the GSE, OoO and OLE. We now have no problems with the Clostridia! After that last round of antibiotics, we never saw that ugly recurrence of bacteria symptoms like we did over and over before. On our last stool test, he still showed Clostridia, but it was a +2 instead of a +4 and we just sent in another stool test to see how things are going now, because he's been just amazing lately. Not that we don't have regression, but it's not like it used to be, he bounces back SO much quicker. I find myself sometimes even wondering if it's the normal kids stuff that we never experienced, lol. Feel free to check out my blog to see what we have done over the course of the past few years. We have a lot of information there. http://grayson-youarewhatyoueat.blogspot.com/ Feel free to contact me directly, if you would like. > > > How can I tell the difference between bacteria and virus?
