Guest guest
You can't replace it if you're nursing Leah. You'd have to wean the baby before ANY work was done on that amalgam. If you have it removed now it will release a lot of mercury into the breast milk. If you have it repaired they will put more amalgam on it and that will also expose you to more mercury that will go in the breast milk. This is very bad for the baby. Guest guest
Jan, it seems like this is a no win situation. He's unvax'ed so I don't want to wean him for a while still but I'm afraid the filling is already doing damage as is. So you think just ignore it? Guest guest
well I'm not saying you ignore it but your only choice it to leave it alone until you wean him, or wean him sooner than you planned and have it removed. There's just no way to remove it now or repair it now without a large amount of mercury going into the breast milk. Guest guest
Can I bump in here? My gold crown just fell out and it is next to a tooth with a silver filling. I am nursing and don't want to wean. I plan to go to a mercury free dentist. Will having the tooth worked on next to a tooth with a filling stir up mercury? Thanks, Melinda > > > > > > > > Hey All, > > > > I'm writing because this morning when I woke up, it feels like one of my > > > 2 > > > > amalgams is perhaps dislodging? Guest guest
You could find a source of fresh breastmilk, like a wet-nurse in the old days. It's not unheard of, but probably rare in our society/culture. There's got to be a service of some kind like that through a homeopathic or natural network. Maybe through the La Leche League? Here's another thought: dehydrating your excess breastmilk, make into a powder, to extend breastmilk feeding. If supplement companies can extract colostrum to put in capsules, why not dehydrating breastmilk? I have no clue though how much nutrient is left after dehydrating. It's worth looking into.
