Guest guest
I would have a hard time ever vaccinating again for anything! You may want to send along some iodine to clean drinking water. This is also interesting re malaria http://miraclemineral.org/ > > My 17-yo-son is going to the Dominican Republic this July with church youth group. Guest guest
Listen, I was a missionary kid and my firstborn is the one with autism/CP. I will not go overseas to any countries that require vaccines anymore. I also will not allow my kids to take that risk. This is not just an issue with him; it could affect the next generation. They are recommending highly (but not requiring) many vaccinations prior to trip. I am worried about this. We are currently chelating and my son has high levels of aluminum. So far, his mercury levels are not that elevated, but we haven't been chelating all that long. The group leader said he would at least like for my son to get the Malaria vaccination. Any thoughts or advice on this would be much appreciated.
Guest guest
If it's not required then don't do it. It's kind of pointless to chelate him and then put more mercury and aluminum back into him. I would think a church group of all things would understand a religious exemption. Uh..no malaria vaccines. How about using mosquito nets? According to what I'm finding online, this vaccine is not yet available or if it is the CDC is not listing it as available. The CDC says it's being tested in some third world countries. So that's not a fuzzy feeling. And that people going to places where malaria is a risk should use insect repellant and mosquito nets. So I really don't know how you'd get this vaccine, even if you wanted it. I would skip any and all vaccines. That's just me. If my kids need a shot to go somewhere, they then aren't going. It's would not be worth the risk to me so my kid can see the Dominican Republic. And as any FYI Malaria is a parasite so I would look at what herbal antiparasitics might be useful in preventing this condition if he did go.
