Some of the most influential journal articles in pharmaceutical science

are studies that compare findings from two or more related human trials

of a drug or treatments for a common disease. A new study reports that

such articles often omit any clues to relevant drug-company involvement

in either the study or the conclusions. ~Science News. 11 March 2011.

several studies on a topic --- are among the most influential papers

published in medical journals. They're cited more than any other type of

study, and are relied on heavily when medical groups determine their

best practices. ~MinnPost
