help- strange smell and no yeast

My son has been smelling very strange for years. We did the OAT and the stool

test and no yeast. What else could it be?  The hair test is mentioned and

bismuth-  it is correct that the hair test only shows what is recent ?  I notice

that it smells on his pillows when he is out of the room.  He has very small red

patches, no a rash, on his face and back.  He has ringworm on the scalp. We

tried everything and nothing seems to work.
