Strange BM - what is this?

I hate to be so graphic, but I hope the subject line might have prepared you for

what follows, lol. We've had a few very strange BMs from our two year old. We

use antimicrobials with him for presumed yeast and bacteria issues, based on

behaviors and such. We took a break from them for a stool test (anxiously

awaiting results still) and since getting him back onto them, he's been severely

bloated, hyper (probably yeast) and slightly constipated (not going as much as

usual), but still going. Some of them have been hard and dark, but he has no

problem passing them, although they are few and far between compared to normal.

Then today when he went it was very strange looking, some of it darker brown,

some lighter, and a very odd combination of textures. When I dumped it in the

toilet, the section that looked dark and hard was actually little balls (about

3/4 of inch each) all linked together by a central strand of something. They

were evenly spaced, so weird. So it looked like a row of dark balls, mostly the

same size, held together by a piece of something that looked like a string (but

more fibrous). The strand was probably 4 inches long. And it SMELLED! Then

shortly after that BMs, he went again and it was a huge loose one, very pale,

but still brown, just very light compared to the other one. This one was even

stinkier!

I know I have seen these weird strung together BMs before, maybe twice, and it

might have been during die off too, but I can't remember exactly.

Has anyone else seen this sort of strange looking thing? And even more

importantly, can anyone tell me what it is perhaps?
