My opinion is that you should look at his diet. Getting up in the car,

screaming and kicking in the car, throwing things, attacking sibling all went

away when we found a tolerable diet. It takes some trial and error. I used to

pull over and spank him when he got out of his seatbelt, I regret that now,

knowing what I do.

I second that. Similar experience resolved pretty quickly with BIG diet changes

based on food intolerance testing--not just gfcf. Similar regrets that it took

me so long to understand what was causing the behaviors, but ever so glad that I

took the road less traveled instead of the pediatrician recommended

anti-psychotic drug route. I still wonder if the carseat straps or forced

sitting position aggravated the gut or intestinal pain which lead to the

screaming, anger, and fighting to get out. We started using Houston enzymes

after the first three years of diet (and remarkable behavior) changes when the

bad behaviors reappeared due to the development of new and different food

intolerances.

The good news is that now, several years later, after many (100?) rounds of AC,

this child can eat just about anything, without enzymes, without any resulting

disasterous behavior changes--still see some negatives from too much of certain

foods without enzymes though--so I know we aren't done yet.
