Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Gowri! Can I ask why it takes courage to start chelation if you've already been using a product like NCD (which I assume you hoped would remove heavy metals)? I'm guessing someone told you NCD was totally safe and 'natural' while chelation was dangerous, caused redistribution and depleted vital minerals. Done correctly, this is not true. Do you have a doctor you are working with? Do you plan on using DMSA? I think you can certainly start chelation (as long as you are certain there is no amalgam under those crowns), but I would not keep using the NCD. Start with a dose of DMSA that is 1/8 or 1/4 mg per lb is good. Every 4 hours. I think you know the drill if you have been here for 2 months. I'd get a multimineral on board, as well as some anti-oxidants. If you are going to chelate with ALA, that is a great anti-oxidant. I can't remember what is in SNT. Perhaps add some E to that EFA mix? Also, make sure she is getting at least 1 gram EFAs daily. I found 1-2 g very helpful with language. Olive Leaf Extract and a product called Methyl-Guard (Thorne) were also great language boosters for us. Receptive language is our biggest hurdle. Methyl-Guard is TMG, Folate, B6, mB12. I know you just wanted to know if you could start chelation while waiting for your hair test! Honestly, I don't think the hair test will show you any reason not to chelate with DMSA, so I'd just get started if you have the stuff and you have the time. Good luck to you. I hope you see some more progress. Question: are these stims and mouthing issues new since NCD or chronic? Pam > > > I have been in the group for over two months and educating myself and slowly have gotten the courage to start chelation with my 5.8 yr old daughter. She has been on a Feingold diet for the past 3 months. (primarily GFCF but has homemade yoghurt). She had several stainlesssteel crowns and white fillings in her teeth on March 31st. I am waiting for my hair metals test results. > > Can I start chelation with her? > She has been taking SNT with P5P+EFA+Zn+Pycnogenol daily. > > She has been taking NCD for the past 3 months from April till now. She has made some gains with the NCD with resect to Receptive langauage, spontaneity in response/request. She has verbal stims and some visual stims. Compliant, has mouthing issues. > Thanks > Gowri > > > > --------------------------------- > See the all-new, redesigned .com. Guest guest
>>However, in the last 2 weeks I believe her yeast has come back and now she's been struck by the sackievirus AGAIN. SHe was hospitalized at 9 months from the same virus. It's been HELL. Complete behavior regression of over a years work in a matter of two weeks! No joke. My son had multiple viruses in his brain. I watched one common cold virus migrate into his brain, it caused a loss of all of his language that he had attained since I started biomedical, in less than 4 hours, this was when he was approx 9yo. Viruses can go into the brain, and also viruses and viral die off tend to cause a LOT of yeast, which also caused regression and behaviors here. >>I cannot even give her a multi b/c her calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus are always elevated and it worsens with a multi supplement. My son was calcium toxic, I used IP6 to eliminate the toxicity, and then I gave him the supps required for proper calcium absorption, which for him were magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K, and lysine. >>We tried Zovirax, but she didn't respond. I cannot afford Valtrex, so that has been delayed for now. I used OLE and Virastop to get the viruses " reasonably under control " , and then I corrected my son's immune system so his body eliminated all the viruses. This took high doses of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, and lysine. > 2. Does chelation ever help with viral overload? Not in my experience. I chelated with ALA, which caused a lot of improvements but did nothing for viruses. The supps above, were what eliminated the viruses here. > 3. Is it safe to do other maintenance treatment, like diflucan or valtrex, during chelation? You will most likely need something for yeast control, because chelation tends to increase yeast for a while. I used biotin and GSE. Both chelation and Valtrex [or whatever anti-viral you choose] will tend to increase yeast. I would not do them together until you know what yeast protocol works for your child. My son had medium-high yeast levels with chelation, and sky-high yeast levels with anti-virals, and I did not do them together. > 5. What did you do with your child to prep him/her for chelation and how did you know they were ready? I used digestive enzymes. My son did not tolerate most supplements until about round 50 of chelation, but I was able to add in a few things at round 10. > 6. What are some of the adverse reactions you have had from chelation, if any? Just yeast. > 7. Is it productive to even do a metals test prior to any chelation or wait until after the first challenge? I never tested, I just started ALA. Dana
Guest guest
We are about to start Chelation for my 3.5Y DD. She is high is Arsenic so we would like to use Transdermal DMPS because its bit difficult to give her oral medicine. Cutler protocol talks only about oral DMPS, does any one can guide me if there is any dosing schedule for transdermal DMPS using Cutler protocol? Also I understand ALA has to be started after few rounds of DMPS when the body metals are taken out - Does anyone know when exactly this has to be started? Do I need to do a test to establish the heavy metals have gone out before starting ALA? Ravali
