Guest guest
Turn around time for the French Porphryins test varies widely depending on the number of tests submitted at any one time. We got ours back in a week. Others have said they waited several weeks (3-5). I got my results via email. My son is always a slow responder and I was ok with a higher dose from the beginning. We did talk about doing some test later to check his liver function (forgot the name of the test). However, before you warned me about his high DMSA dose, I was already contemplating to remove it from the protocol. In the challenge test done in mid January, the result showed that he had slightly elevated lead level (8.6) and much higher mercury level (23). Since his mercury is high which apparently is the main cause for his neurological dysfunction and I want to focus on getting it out of his body first. Plus, with the tendency of yeast flare-up from DMSA, it is just not worth the fight when we are dealing with a chronicle yeast/bacteria battle. For us, the priority should be mercury out first. > > > > > > I do like my DAN and believe he truly cares about his patients. He might not be the ultimate go-to doctor (he even jokingly admitted that I sometimes know more than he does) but his laid back bedside manner and reasonable fee ($190 per visit) keep me coming back BTW, he never charges me for anything else. I get all the supplements he recommends from either local health food stores or online retailers. I guess he is an exception. > > > > > > Thanks again for your insight. > > > > > > April > > > > > > > > >
