Guest guest
speaking of hypoglycemia...I am going to be tested for it. I have been having shaking and stupor experiences...kind of like I am having sweat flashes and kind of act drunk...although I trufully can't say what it is like to be drunk since I have never experienced it. Doctor told me to eat small portions throughout the day. Eating seems to help the attacks so I am being more careful. I find peanut butter really helps...must be the protein....Just one more thing to change in my lie...lol....hope you all have high spirits and miss talking to you guys. Guest guest
Cyntha, Good luck with the tests. Definitely sounds like you have it. And I have controlled it through diet for close to 18 years now. Didn't deal with it again until I got struck with Lyme, and even then my glucose was normal. So the same symptoms evidentially can be caused by Lyme. The six small meals a day is a good one. And despite it being " low sugar " doesn't mean you should eat sugar. In fact, you should avoid sugar and carbs. That is why the peanut butter works- the protein like you said. If you eat right and stay away from sugar, you can keep it under control. The treatment is the same for diabetes. I was even told it was like borderline diabetes, and my sister did develop full blown diabetes, as well as my mother. My mother ate poorly, and lots of sweets, and my sister drinks alcohol too much, both are no-no's with Hypoglycemia. But you can have some sweets on occasion, you'll feel it if you over do it. It does indeed feel like being drunk, but way too drunk! Good luck, Vicki, Md >From: " Cyntha Landon " <cyntha@...> > >speaking of hypoglycemia...I am going to be tested for it.
