Guest guest
Reid I worry about that too. My son gets to go to his locker only two times a day, and therefore must carry a very heavy load, and sometimes his saxophone. He thankfully, does use both straps, but its still very heavy. If I were to get a double set of books (which is a great idea) it would cost me at least $50 per book. Can't afford that. Maybe this is another battle I'll have to fight with the schools when I'm up to it. I can't believe they can't find five minutes between each class to allow them to go to their lockers. When I was in school we had at least 6 mins between every class. Wonder if each county and state is different. I do want to look into this. Thanks for reminding me, its been on my mind for a while now. Guest guest
rolling backpacks are outlawed here the schools say " someone could trip over them " as far as the second set of books if it was just taking them to school and home it would not be bad......the children are not allowed to visit their lockers except before and after scholl ......hence they must lug the books around the whole school day......if they either let them got to their lockers or roll their books i would be happy.......this is what i am fighting to get allowed......however thanks to lyme( yep some things are good about this disease) i have learned how to fight .....have ur facts ready and present them well and u usually will suceed....go in ill prepared and u r bound to lose....like a quote once said ....if u are hunting elephant use an elephant gun.......would love to throw something in there face outta JAMA but still have not found anything......my doc will write a note.....i am trying to solve this for not only my children but other parents who i have heard complain....yet lack the time or knowledge to get results......Reid...
