Guest guest
Hi, I asked my pharmacist why Humira hurts so bad when you inject and she said it has to do with the high PH balance used in the medicine. Guess that is what makes it burn. Has anyone felt like it gets hard to push the syringe in and that you have to stop for a couple of seconds, then it is easier again? Anyone know why it does this. I'm thinking the serum must be thick and it takes a second or two for the body to absorb it before you add more. Guest guest
Hi, I've used humira since August and it's always burned until the last couple of injections. My husband gives me the injections and the last couple times he injected it real slow stopping about 1/3 thru each time. I was surprised that the last one only had a slight burn after the whole thing was injected. So I think if you do it that way, it's easier....at least in my case. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maggie http://www.4HockeyFans.com http://www.4FloridaHockey.com -----Original Message-----From: Rheumatoid Arthritis [mailto:Rheumatoid Arthritis ]On Behalf Of VickiSent: Wednesday, March 29, 2006 9:50 AMRheumatoid Arthritis Subject: Humira Hi, I asked my pharmacist why Humira hurts so bad when you inject and she said it has to do with the high PH balance used in the medicine. Guest guest
I inject it very slow and also sometimes stop for a couple seconds and it does seem to help body to absorb and to not cause a big bump under the skin. --- In Rheumatoid Arthritis , " Vicki " <hoyt91@...> wrote: > > Hi, > I asked my pharmacist why Humira hurts so bad when you inject and she said > it has to do with the high PH balance used in the medicine. Guest guest
Hello Dordale, Thank you very much for your message! The reason why I posted the last message is that here I see many guys suffering from RA to the extent they can't have their life normally. Ofcourse I understand how much pain they have. However, for me till now (Hamdollelah), I can live my life normally. Ofcourse some limitations happened. But I go to my job, I work, I stay even beyond working hours, I walk, I go to every place with no problem. Sometimes I have pain that I can't walk but many times I have no pain and i go to dance with my friends. I have to note that I take many supplements and not only Methotrexate and Folic Acid. Plus, I watch my food and I avoid many items that I discovered cause me pain. Thank you Mostafadordale8 <dordale8@...> wrote: >> Hello guys,> > I have been now a member here for almost a year. I mean you do other things like scanning on jointsregularly? Is the medication I take enough? Is it normal to be onmethotrexate for a year and still you are OK?> > Thank you,> Mostafa.> Mostafa--I'm glad you are doing so well on methotrexate. It's good that youare getting blood tests done regularly, and that you are taking FolicAcid. Many people have good luck on MTX alone, and that is all theyneed for years.I think most doctors here in United States like us to have x-raysevery one to two years to make sure that the joint damage is undercontrol.Good luck!dordale Looking for earth-friendly autos?
