Guest guest
Thanks, Sue, for the input. Does this mean do you think that we should be considered that this guy now has lyme, even tho he's had no otehr symptoms? Is two weeks of low-dose abx good enough for someone who has no symptoms and may not have the disease? Any additional thoughts would be greatly appreciated - beth >it's been two weeks as of yesterday, but on day 10 three really odd >bug-bite-like lumps came out on his lower calf. On the day 11, what looked like a thick-skinned blister with a >white, pussy-like center (sorry, folks) came out on his cheek, for about 2 >hours, and then went away. These sound similar to places I got on my scalp and face (prior to being diagnosed and going on abx), that the LLMD said were due to the Lyme bacteria. (The centers of mine were clear, not white - but also oozed.) Can't exactly answer your question, but figured I'd share my learning and experience. I don't think mine ever only lasted a couple of hours, tho. Nowadays, on doxy + Zith, I do get raised red bumps in various places that only last a short while, tho. Many thanks to our founder and friend, Marta McCoy, for making what it is today. If they make the infection come out via the skin, by way of unusual rashes, one is doing well. The hives are being triggered by the infection exiting. This is my understanding from LLMDs. Hi All, Although I am not sick, I have received test results from the Laboratory in Michigan (Dr. Lida Matman) and from the Bowen Laboratory in Florida (Dr. JoAnne Whitaker) that I am Lyme positive. This came as a great shock to me (the photomicrographs of my blood are really ugly). I started Biaxin this past Wednesday (6-7-00). Why I paid for these tests is a long story. This afternoon I intend to work out on weight machines, do the NuStep, the bike, and the upper body exerciser, and then swim 3/4 mile (82 degrees F) followed by 10 minutes in the therapy pool (92 degrees F) and then 10 minutes in the whirlpool (102 degrees F). Although I'm not sick, after reading the posts on this list, I'm beginning to think I have some symptoms, but I'm not sure. Jack
