Guest guest
What about Tinidazole -- less side effects, similar benefits? There have been several posts about this medication. It has to be specially compounded. I heard $89.95 for 100 pills. Yesterday, I heard it can be purchased in T.J., Mexico for $30.00. I only known about this med recently, so at the time I was interfacing with The Medicine Store (I gave contact information in an earlier E-mail) in T.J., I did not inquire. I do not know if they do any compounding. Sorry. Hope I don't get my hand smashed, I'm only trying to help. We are a global society. We have access to everywhere just like the infamous tick. Guest guest
Dear Annie, I have no problem with getting meds abroad cheaper. I will ask about the other drug too. Thank-you for caring. I really appreciate it right now. Love, Helen in NJ
Guest guest
Dear Lovette, Thank you for being so kind. I have been such a compliant patient that I guess I just say " yes. " You are right, I didn't have much of a break after HBOT. I refused to take Questran a month ago though. Too hard to fit in around meds, etc. They didn't seem to mind and were just as happy to throw me into this vat of flagyl. I trust this doctor so much, Lovette, as you know. Herxing like this makes me know for sure there are bugs to kill and I am determined to tough it out. I'll see how this week goes. I'd like to have some sort of summer so I can be human to my poor kind husband and our 20 and 21 year old daughters. I wonder where I stand as far as " bad " cases line up. I think I am a real tough case as you and many of us are. If the neuro and mood stuff gets too horrible I will take a break. We are married 25 years in July. It is sad that we feel afraid to plan a trip. Maybe Disneyworld in Sept or Oct so that can " wheel " me around when I get tired. Bermuda just doesn't seem to be as accessible to " our type! " You take care of yourself too. I might take you up on that call sometime. Maybe we can even laugh. Love, Helen
Guest guest
Hi Helen - you've been through the ringer!! To jump from HBOT to Flagyl seems cruel! Can't Dr. B give you a rest so you can recover from the HBOT? And, did the HBOT do anything for you on the positive side? As for Zoloft, it is a very mild antidepressant with no side effects that I know of. I was on Paxil for awhile because my insurance company refused to pay for Zoloft, and I became suicidal. Listen, hang in there - You must be really on a war with those spirochetes right now. But, because you've taken things so harshly, there should be a gentle place to fall on the other side of this herx from hell. Call me anytime if you want to talk.
