Guest guest
Dear Lyra and all, I am sorry if I offended you. Let's leave the emotional requime out of this! Please! I was not trying to attack, just trying to get PROOF of why as a neuroscientist working in Forensics you keep asking the same questions over and over...Are you taking notes? Alot of the very fine people on this list have given you resourcing, have you checked out the different labs, and LLMD's recommended? Is there a local support group in your area? Are you studying what they say so you may be able to make some type of informed decision for yourself? I have my own emotional battle scars to deal with, my mis-diagnoses and a teenager maybe mis-diagnosed as well. Like many other parents on the list, we wonder if we were born with this. Or passed it on to our children. Lyra, there are so many questions and not enough answers. You must choose your path as many of us do. Since you are of a scientific mind, it may help for me to console you that science, does not have all the answers as of this moment. IF it is effecting you neurologically, you will have to start taking notes. It is not fun for any of us to lose these mental faculties. Very many of us are in the same boat as you. My gut instinct must have hit me wrong telling me you were an industry thug. Maybe it is that you are not used to chronic illness and this is effecting your state of denial. This is human reflex to chronic illness and you know it if you studied depression/neuroscience. You must strive on to seek answers and carefully study what people are doing, and try to find the best care that you can afford.
