Guest guest
I would recommend Dr. Schulze's Intestinal Formula #1: http://www.herbdoc.com I use it religiously, and it works great! Guest guest
Greetings Sorry you are in such discomfort. Been there done that! You will have great success if you upon getting up drink a cup of hot water with a bit of lemon in it. While you are drinking it, put a pot of water on to boil...boil the water at a rolling boil for a good 10-20 minutes. Put some in a Thermos and sip this all day. You are not able to go I am guessing because there is very little water in the system to allow the matter to pass thru. You need to drink 8-10 ounces of just plain water per day to remain healthy. When I was detoxing a few weeks back I was down for the count and the Dr. said after I told him that I was drinking 2 lites of water a day...that is not enough!! And he was right! After a few days doing that, you will start to begin to go better. For right now relief get some Epsom salts and drink a teaspoon in the morning for a few days. That will help to clean you out. Better health I hope Success nieema Oh yes you can get some Vitamin C and take spoonfuls until you go. One every hour a teaspoon until you start having loose stools then back off. PS Please try one or the other, do not do them all together. --- mike man <mgsboediitodpc@...> wrote: > do a grape juice fast for 14 days and all will move > > --- twylashephard <twylashephard@...> wrote: > > > I was diagnosed with IBS some years ago. Guest guest
I just got banded 3/14 so I don't know for sure but maybe your gaining muscle, have you check inches? You could still be losing inches but now gaining some muscle. Also I know that the body reacts to conserve if it thinks it might not get any food, and after a liquid diet your body may be in conserve mode. Its great that you lost some weight but remember the liquid part of the diet was NOT to lose weight but to let your body heal. Hope you start losing again soon =) Laurel > > Penny, , , Dawnita, Nina, and anyone else who can shed some > light on this matter, I need some words of wisdom from the veterans > on this board!!! > > I was banded on 2/23/06. Guest guest
Jenni...............DON'T PANIC, I did the same thing. Now I have stopped loosing all together. I am scheduled for my first fill April 3rd and can't wait. This first stage is to give the time to just get acquainted with our band, how it feels, how it works etc. Your loosing days are still to come. Hang in there. Guest guest
Jenni...this is not at all uncommon. It can be just water weight gain. Just keep plugging along til your fill and you will start losing again, I promise! I am having a hard time just maintaining right now cuz I need my fill...yesterday...and I don't get it til April 11...but I can make it, I know I can...and even if I am not losing, or even gain a lb or two...I am not going to worry about it...it will come off again easily after the fill...and the weather is getting better for lots of outside activities and exercise...did I mention I have 2 geldings to train to ride this year?? Guest guest
I sure hope you are right Nurse Marcia! This is very frustrating. I wasn't expecting to keep losing at the rate I did at first but I sure didn't expect to gain anything back either! My husband says I need to just keep on doing exactly what I am doing and it will catch up with me! Is there anything I can do to get rid of the fluid? I try to drink as much water as possible but I sure don't go to the bathroom as much as I usually do. Any ideas? Jenni C. Guest guest
I haven't read other responses, so this may be what others are saying. First, how close are you to that time of the month? Also, check the sodium content of the liquids you are consuming. AND most importantly, up your calories by about 300 if you can with good foods or protein drinks. Your body is probably in starvation mode and in order to spring out of it, you need to eat a little bit more so your metabolism can kick in. At least that is MY theory. Don't worry, your body is just fighting back. M 280/174/155 -106lbs gone for good! Guest guest
Jenni Don't panic! Like you say, you have lost a lot and now your body needs to catch up! Maybe you are retaining water. Maybe your body has gone into " starvation mode " and is compensating for it by slowing down your metabolism. Some people have recommended eating one day of higher calories and then several days of low calories. I am stuck right now in one place since March 1 and am going to try that! also, remember that many people do gain back some of their weight loss before their first fill. Then your weight will start to come off again. Maybe you should just stay off the scales for a week or two at a time and things will look better. Good luck, I know you will make it to that first fill and all will be fine again! Guest guest
Hey Jenni, are you about to start your period? I know that always puts on a few pounds. I do not weigh myself everyday, which alleviates alot of stress but if you do, please take into consideration water weight gain from menstrual cycles...even if you had a period prior ot surgery often you'll have one right afterwards, let me tell you mine was a DOOOZEY!!! I am so happy I am finally done! Anywho, you will retain some water at different times of the month, just go with the flow (no pun intended!!!) Remember this point is not really about losing weight but about readjusting your body to the band. It's quite normal to gain weight prior to a fill. If you can try and boost your activity that might help as well. Also, I've been told by others that the more weight you have to lose the more will come off...as in my case, I was at 360lbs so I have lost a good amount of weight, but someone lighter than me who doesn't have to lose as much will lose according to their weight size, it's just the nature of the beast. Try not to compare yourself with others on this board, we are all different sizes with different metabolisms. I know I try to to compare myself because MOST here are alot less in weight than I am, and I tend to get discourage knowing most here will only have to lose 100lbs and they are at their target weight....it's a monster I have to keep under the rug!!!! Please, do not get discourage so early in the game...in fact, NEVER get discourage at any point in the game!!! There are going to be the Ups and Downs in this weightloss...hopefully more good times than bad. So, take a long deep breath in...hold it....and slowly let it out, do this several times and get into that happy zone You're doing what you are suppose to be doing with the diet, stick to it, keep coming on the boards and walk those pounds off when you get the chance. Take Care!!! Guest guest
Dear , This question comes up often especially from those who have self- studied without experience, those who did not have formal education with hands on externship and those who live in a densely populated area competing for jobs against experienced technicians and where the job market is saturated with technicians. I have a file that may/will help you. I ahve collected some advice fromthe previous posts, I have created resume building tutorials for NEW unexperienced CPhT's and MORE. My main suggestion is to hit the pavement with a good verbal introduction asking for the directors time or to make an appointment to interview you AND a GREAT resume in your hand. A great resume shows you have the skills and capability to learn new tech skills and can offer so much more that you have passed the PTCB exam. In addition to the above find a local/state Pharmacy Agency that finds jobs for pharmacists and technicians. Please go to the Files section and check out: Files > 8- Resume Building , Career Advice & Pathway Info > Resume Building How to Build a Resume.doc Tutorial on building a resume. Learn the content, structure and purpose of each section of a powerful resume for pharmacy technicians Job Search Engines for Pharmacy Technicians.doc A list of sites that can help you to post a resume, find a job that is open in your area, list of companies that are seeking and employing pharmacy technicians...more Tutorial for NEW CPhT Resume.doc Example of a resume if you have never worked as a technician, but are a new CPhT. Two styles. Files > 8- Resume Building , Career Advice & Pathway Info > How to Find a Job Tutorial - How to Find a Job or Tech Internship.doc Advice from techs on how to find a job after an internship or tech school, new CPhT, changing from retail to hospital work. I invite others reading this to post their advice and what worked for them. I do hope some of the above will help you to find work. Guest guest
Hi,my name is Mailyn and I have a 5 year old daughter named , I'm having a big problem with my daughter's school, was diagnosed by Dr. Accardo in Va with autism and developmental delay at age of 2 1/2 everything was mild at that time, now on Sep. 2010 I went for a second opinion before she start Kindergarten(right now she's on her second year on ED and this year she's doing a regression on her communication) to VTCC and autism was confirmed and dev. delay but everything it is severe now.
