Guest guest
Oh yeah..you have to get off the groups digest mode..it's just terrible. Might I suggest you open up a web based account just for your list mail (this is a good idea anyhow - to increase privacy and prevent spam)? Or you can configure your email client to put all the mail from the list into its own folder so it does not clog up your inbox. Make things much easier for you to read and reply to. Ppl with the best intentions are going to forget to cut down the messages..no matter how many times you ask. It's not malicious, just human nature. -- The Mysterious Mr.X From his Unabomber-style cabin, in the backwoods of Pennsylvania [ ] how to reply > Maybe this is bothering just me but I can barely read > this list when just about everybody who responds > to a post includes it in their reply. Guest guest
Actually everyone should snip a large part of what they are responding to, leaving the question or comment that they are replying about so all can see what they are talking about. And don't forget to delete all the text at the bottom of the post. And please change the subject header if the subject has changed. Nothing is more frustrating to me than to see a post reply that says something like, " Thanks Sue, I use it too. " Then nothing, the subject header says something like sleep disorder, or something not related. We may as well be instant mailing. I agree that too much text is annoying as well, it is a good idea if we are changing the subject, a new post should be started and a new subject header. I do hope you feel better soon. Just my 2 cents. Marta From: " L " <summrset@...> > Maybe this is bothering just me but I can barely read > this list when just about everybody who responds > to a post includes it in their reply. Guest guest
, you might find it easier to change your subscription to No Mail, and just go to the site to read individual posts. That way you don't clutter up your own email account, and don't have the problem of wading through the whole Digest format. Also easier to follow threads of related topics, or select only topics that you really want to read. Guest guest
Um well platforms and email clients all very somewhat. I use Microsoft Outlook Express (OE) with Windows 2000 (only becuase it's my work machine..I'd rather use my Mac anytime - Microsoft is a tool of Satan) To set it up in OE; just open a message: Select TOOLS, MESSAGE RULES, MAIL Then select ANYTHING IN THE SUBJECT WITH (type " " ) Then select MOVE TO FOLDER (create a new folder named " " or whatever you want) Then APPLY Then whenever you get mail with " " in the subject - it will go directly to that folder.
