Guest guest
kristina, we all react differently to every drug. i had ONE bicillin shot and had a recation so bad, i refused to do it again. tremors, 104 fever, delirium, and so on. i cant take pencillin, have you taken any other forms of penicillin before? oddly they did allergy testing for it, and i even took oral. but my dr said every form is different, and everyone reacts differently. if you feel it is detrimental, and setting you back, tell your dr you want to stop, or at least try something else. I am on LI too, perhaps we have the same dr? pj
Guest guest
Hi group, I have not posted in some time now. I am a, from Long Island NY, USA. I had been on Rocephin IV and oral Flagyl for 6 months. During that time I saw quite a bit of improvement in many of my symptoms. I had more energy to do things with my daugthers and actually got back into the routine of making dinners. My heart palpitations all but went away. In short I began to feel almost 'normal' again after years of hospitals, doctors and being bedridden. So, my doc and I decided it was time to stop the IV and try Bicillin shots weekly. I am taking 1,200,000 of Bicillin. Anyone else doing or have done this? Since I bagean them I have been going downhill again with new onset of horrible chills, soaking night sweats, malaise, fatigue, joint pains, weakness, heart bouncing all over the place!!! HELP!!!! How can I be herxxing after SO many months of IV and Flagyl? Is it really possible? I thought I was through the hard part already! What is going on here? Doc wants me to continue with the Bicillin and keep track of my symptoms and temperature. I see him in about a month .... I need some encouragement guys!!!! a <~~~~~ very unhappy Lymee today
Guest guest
Hi a, I don't have any answers for you, but am sorry that your symptoms have increased again. Have you been tested for babesia? I was wondering with the night sweats if maybe that's what is being killed off right now. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I am taking 1,200,000 of Bicillin. From what I've been told, you'd need at least two of these shots per week to be at a good dose of bicillin and probably more! I'm also on long island and I'm on rocephin and flagyl right now myself. Doing better than I did prior to the IV. I was on one bicillin shot per week only at one point and, like you, I wasn't doing well. I found out after I switched to a new llmd that that dose is too low. This has also been confirmed by another good llmd too. I hope you can add at least one shot per week to that one and maybe add an oral?
