I just pray it doesn't spread nationwide. Chicago Sears tower has

been evacuated. Our World Trade Center in Dallas has been evacuated,

and we are on Level 3 alert (don't know what that means exactly). All

flights nationwide have been grounded from every airport, and

international incoming flights diverted to Canada.

Our Ft. Worth schools are on high alert, being searched, and

evacuated as well, the news just said.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing on TV this morning. So many

lives, so many families affected. Is the world crazy?

Love to all,

Rose (and ) in Dallas/Ft. Worth

I have two very good friends who work there ... one in the World Trade Center

and one at the Chase Manhattan Bank Headquarters in the Financial District. I

have been trying to get thru to their home phones since this happened and of

course the lines are jammed. Please, please pray for Diane, Anne and their

families and friends.

Thank you!

Considering that the Nation and Military are now on " Delta " level of

alert which is the highest in the Nation...it's no surprise!

Luckily, I'm in the Inactive Reserves.

I think my body went into total shock this morning after my anxiety

attack... I have no words to say because I don't know what to say... All that

comes to my mind is.... Learn from this to love those in your life

everyday... Make sure to show it so they feel it....If you look around you

today and all you're loved ones are safe, hug and kiss the ones who are ok

and pray for those who aren't....

I'm so glad I'm at home today of all days. I was sleeping in since

I'm on medication and my roommate called to inform me of what had

happened. I was totally shocked! Then, to turn on the tv and see

the horror that people were going through in NY was so hard. Hearing

that people had literally jumped out of windows 80 stories up because

they were burning? I can't even begin to imagine how they felt.

Families could not find their loved ones, some may never find those

they kissed goodbye that morning. Horrible!

Charlotte evacuated our buildings. I worked downtown as a financial

analyst for a bank and it's totally frightening! We are the second

largest financial center in the US after NY. I heard we had a bomb

threat for the city a year ago but fortunately, nothing came of it.

I'm on the 23rd floor and we had a gas leak one time when I was on

the 9th floor. The stairways were packed and we could even smell the

gas. We got to about the 6th floor and just totally stopped. There

was a man in a wheelchair down below us and the people trying to move

his chair were having troubles. After keeping us in the stairway for

about 15-20 minutes, one man finally picked up the man and ran down

the stairs with him. We were flying down after him! If that had

been a fire we would have lost a lot of people! Now, I'm even

farther up. I'm just so excited about the thought of going back to

work eventually!

By the way, did anyone stock up on anything? My roommate and I each

went out and got a LOT of stuff in case we come under attack and have

no power. I bought a lot of bottled water, batteries, and food. Are

we being too concerned??? I hope we don't have to use it but my God,

what if by some crazy ill fate they managed to invade us? I know it

would take a lot but it would take a lot to accomplish what they did

today, wouldn't it? My roommate did all her laundry and filled a

backpack with clothes and then another bag as a first aid kit. I

think I could just about fill one backpack just with medication and

supplements!!! I have no idea where either of us would go. Sure,

we've got tents but I can't decide which would be worse: facing a

terrorist or hiding out in the mountains and getting another tick

bite. Hmmm, hate to say it but I think I'd go for the terrorist. It

would be over quicker and at least I'd see it coming!!! :)

Hi Jody,

Thanks for asking. My friends are okay ... one was in one of the support

buildings and she got out okay. The other wasn't working at the WTC that day.

I also found out my cousin was involved. He worked on the 106th floor of

Building 2 and fortunately had stopped to vote in the NY Primary on his way to

work. If he hadn't done that, he would have been sitting at his desk.

God works in mysterious ways!!!
