Guest guest
I know this first hand, my Dad had a stoke in 1995, hard to believe it was 5 years ago, but everyday since then he tells my mother and anyone who will listen that he will die today, imagine hearing that all the time, drives us all nuts. He is on Paxil, probably should be on stronger dose, but other meds conflict. He is bedridden 90% of the time, and extremely difficult for my Mom to care for, yet she won't put him in nursing home or hire someone to help her care for him. Thanks for the article, Hugs, Marta >From: " kay " <b10g7@...> > >MORE THAN A THIRD OF STROKE PATIENTS EXPERIENCE DEPRESSION >Findings of two separate studies reported here at the American Stroke >Association's 25th International Stroke Conference show that a third or >more of stroke patients experience significant depression and poor quality >of life after stroke. >http://psychiatry.medscape.com/17710.rhtml >Read it Here >
