Guest guest
Paco - that sounds like candida to me!! Do you have any idea what started it? Have you ever taken antibiotics or steroids of any sort? You're in the right place now - this group is a wealth of support and information! Guest guest
Hi. Thanks so much for answering. What's Leaky Gut Syndrome? How can you be tested for that? What's the problem with fillings? I have several. They're I think the traditional mercury (?) amalgams. ---------- >From: Nastasya1@... >candidiasisegroups >Subject: Re: New to group >Date: vier., 5 ener 2001 03:46 > > In a message dated 1/4/01 9:37:34 PM Eastern Standard Time, dusan@... > writes: > > << > Maybe someone out there could give me a hint. Guest guest
No dentist has been aloud to use mercury in fillings ofr over 30 years, so I seriously doubt any of you had mercury in your mouths. you mighht have been told that you dod so that they could more money, but I have a frienmd who is going to denistry school and another that helped a dentist for many many years.a nd they both have told me that if you did have murcery in your mouths it would be a huge problem for the dentist let alone your health. ------- It's not that life's too short, it's that we're dead so long. If the above statement is true then why did I (who is only 32) have ten mercury fillings put in my mouth, first beginning when I was six? And everyone else I know? When I went to the dentist last May, I had to beg for white composite when they were replacing two of my broken silver fillings. They were definately going to put more silver in there and it is 100% fact there is mercury in silver fillings. I will never go to any dentist but a wholistic mercury free dentist again, you are fooling yourself if you believe otherwise or you are ill informed. I have been studying this for months since I've become ill, and pardon me if I sound defensive about but I am. I wouldn't be sick as bad as I am right now if it weren't for that damn dentist that took my " safe " - not- fillings out the wrong way and made me take antibiotics. I can't work and people think I'm crazy cuz I look fine, but I'm not. I'm down to my last couple hundred bucks and have shown no signs of improvement on this diet, but dentists and mercury were the divine cause, and there isn't one thing I can do about it. If you believe every chump that's in dentist school, then I guess you believe all the doctors that are full of s*** and the government too, cuz they never lie right? Please don't go misleading people about the ills of mercury when you clearly have not read up on it. Nastasya

This isn't true. If you do a search on the Internet you will come up with thousands of sites about the hazards of mercury based dental fillings. The American Dental Association's web site promotes the use of mercury based dental fillings to this day (although for about 24 hours a couple days ago, they actually removed the information from their web site from pressure from a law group and may have to yet remove it within the next couple days, but after having it removed for one day they put it back up a day later), which means that mercury based dental fillings are currently still being used. I'm afraid your dentist friends weren't being truthful with you. And by the way, it is a hazard for dentists. I have a niece who trained to be a dental hygienist, and had to quit because of mercury exposure that damaged her health. The statistics for health problems of dentists makes dentistry one of the most hazardous occupational fields, all because of mercury. Anyone who has silver fillings in their mouths has mercury in their mouths. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't got their facts straight. lindaj@... Guest guest
Just a year ago I had to take my son in to a local dentist in my town, and posted on the wall in the waiting room was a notice that stated he used mercury based fillings in his patients, and then a bunch of garbage about how the American Dental Association approved of it's use. I asked him about removing fillings and having them replaced with non-mercury based fillings and he said he didn't do that unless the fillings were damaged and needed to be replaced, and he wouldn't just remove fillings because of the mercury for fear of loosing his license. It was the last time I intend to ever go back to him. For anyone that is trying to find a dentist that is mercury free, or that does biocompatibility testing, or that is a holistic dentist, the American Holistic Health Association has a Practitioner search page that you can use to find a dentist in your area. The search is in the Holistic Practitioner's link. You just type in dentist in the field for the search engine and then information in one of the other fields for location. Their web site is: http://www.ahha.org/ lindaj@... Guest guest
Welcome Irene and Collin, There are quite a few of us mothers here. My son Tommy is also 12 years old. Finding out he had this terrible disease was quite a blow. I'm happy that they have moved fast from initial dx to placing him on the transplant list. Hopefully, he will get a liver soon. The people here who have had transplants say they felt better almost immediately. Keep us updated on Collin's progress and if you ever have any questions or want to share joy or to vent, please call on us. I can relate emotionally as a parent (as can quite a few others), and there are many well informed people on the site who can answer medical concerns (not doctors, just people who have been there). Guest guest
Dear Anne Has your doctor checked your blood since you have been on the Diflucan? I took it for a while, but after a couple of weeks and an investigative follow-up blood test, the doctor found that it was affecting my liver, as Diflucan is known to do in some people. Hope this helps, Anne, and hope you find some solutions to your health soon! Helen

Guest guest
Leisa - I hear ya when you say you only use Cetaphil and no bubbles, but do you wash their hair in the bath water? Have you tried washing them under running water and not filling the tub? Also, if they are sitting in the tub, might there be a residue from cleaning agents left behind that might be mixing with their skin? Do they sleep with pets? Have they been checked for worms? You say your girls have constant yeast infections - what are their symptoms? Lilly abbyoliviaanna wrote: > Hi all, I just searched for this group out of > desperation. Guest guest
Thank you Lilly. Yes I DO wash their hair in the tub. I had been using Neutrogena soap, but have been using regular shampoo recently. Their symptoms are itchy, burning, red genital areas, that sometimes extends back. They don't sleep with a pet, but we do have a dog. I suppose the cleaning agents could be an issue, but since I use the shampoo I probably need to start there and of course rinse really well when I clean. I also think I'll start washing them with the handheld shower instead of letting them sit in the tub. They love to play in the tub with toys, but we'll try that and if their problems get better we'll stick with it. It IS a possibility I suppose that we're not dealing with yeast. My youngest daughter right now has an obvious one, because she has the little bumps in the folds, but the other two mostly just have red, itchy burning genitals that could very well be coming from the water. I'll try your suggestions for sure. Thanks so much. Sometimes it takes an outsider to make me think through things and see what's going on. I'm certainly hoping that's all it is. Guest guest
You may also want to research shower/bath faucet filters. I'm not sure what kind of water you have, but the water itself could be the culprit. I am in the market for a shower/bath faucet filter myself because of Ezcema that I can't seem to get rid of. I have nasty well water though. City water has a lot of chlorine in it--very harmful to young tender skin. --- abbyoliviaanna <abbyoliviaanna@...> wrote: > Thank you Lilly. Guest guest
Hi Melinda, I just did the Jensen book cleanse. I posted my photos and from the feedback I've gotten, it was a productive cleanse I'm guessing. I was happy with the results, but I want to do a second cleanse. I used apple juice, and watermelon juice for my fast. In the colemas, I added organic coffee (am) and clay water or garlic to the pm buckets (the additives to the colemas was not in the book, but that's what I did), otherwise I followed the cleanse pretty much by the book. Best wishes to improving your health!~! Kate > Hi, my name is Melinda. I've tried Schulze's remedies for bowel > cleaning and didn't have luck with them at all.
