Guest guest
Hi Amy, if you get better thyroid treatment you can get off of prozac, prevacid and zyrtec. Those poor docs get so confused and start giving us too many meds. Poor guys paid all that money for an education which doesn't help us much (((( Look at http://www.geocities.com/thyroide Gracia > Hello, my name is Amy. Guest guest
Actually, I was diagnosed with depression this last year. My husband has been deployed a lot, and I didn't take it very well. The prevacid is for GERD, which was diagnosed summer 2002. Zyrtec I've been taking since I was a kid. I have severe allergies. :) Amy
Guest guest
See, I didn't know that. I guess I'm gonna have to talk to my doctor at my appointment on Dec. 9th. :) Thank you so much. Could it possibly have something to do with me not being able to get pregnant? Or not ovulating? Amy

Guest guest
I never got pregnant after age 24 because of untreated hypothyroidism. Thyroid disorders are typically untreated, undertreated, or poorly treated. Click on the link I sent and it will take you to other info sites. I just bought Hypothyroidism: the Unsuspected Illness by Broda MD on amazon.com. Many good books there. Gracia > See, I didn't know that. Guest guest
yes. dfficult pregnancy with many untreated hypo symptoms (constipation, crying alot, edema, terrible brain fog). Son born with heart valve defect. Unnecessary cesarean etc etc Failure to lactate. Now I know it was all avoidable with better medical care. I didn't get thyroid meds for 30 years after that. Guest guest
Hi, and welcome Amy! I was diagnosed in Feb. with hypoT & Hashimoto's disease. Thyroid problems run rampant in my family also. You are on a VERY low dose of thyroid meds...maybe you're being undermedicated. Do you mind posting your lab results? The hypothyroidism can certainly make you feel depressed. You might not need the antidepressant if maybe your hormones were increased and/or changed. You mentioned having allergies. So do I. Do you have asthma also? Just curious? Take care. Sheila " Amy (Zimmerman) " <Rottieluvr2@...> wrote: Hello, my name is Amy. I was diagnosed as hypothyroid about 2 1/2 years ago. Guest guest
Thanks, Amy. In my Hashimoto group we were doing a poll...seems like a LOT of us there have asthma. It's pretty interesting. Guest guest
Hi Tina, glad your daughter is doing well, but I don't think nutri-meds is worth the money. Most people need real medicine. Gracia You see this and you many of you may wonder why I treat my daughter myself. She would be in the same situation on the pill and we would never know she had a thyroid problem. They are still pushing it down her throat(she won't take it until she finds out why she does not have her period). but some good news-- she is on new meds from nutrimed, bought these a month ago. She is taking one thyroid med a day at 130mg ---but her temp is up to 97.4 now. She is off adrenals (they need to start working on their own now) and so far so good. Still taking in the vitamins and she got a A in her math mid-term and a B in organic chem- --so we are very happy (the average for the chem class was a C-D) so she did very well. Still no word on the MRI---waiting!!! ugggg here is the info on the meds.--- http://www.nutri-meds.com/thyroid.htm#Thyroid Glandular Thyroid Glandular... Guest guest
Well I'll let you know how it goes, so far she is doing better on them but it's only been a week. When she went off her other supplements she could tell the difference from her body reactions and so far she is just as stable and her temp. has moved up even more on the nutimed, 97.4 now. (only one pill a day) So you could think maybe her adrenals have repaired themselves a bit. (from all the adrenal glandulars)(12 weeks worth) Or all the vitamins have helped (selenium and iodine included) You can't deny those test results for her t3 numbers jumping from 79 to 166--something worked big time here. She is feeling great too, but still no period. So either we need more time to heal or need to go into another direction. At this point all that matters is that she is functioning better with these supplements than without them. And the doctors still can't seem to help her. So in my opinion she is doing a lot better--no depression, memeory working, skin not so dry, sweating, energy, ( I keep on telling her not to over do it again)she wants to teach a gym class now) So we are seeing a huge difference in her health. I want her to allow her body to heal from all the stress and damage. I really don't know if she will always be taking these glandulars but they work for her. without them she goes right back into being colder, tired, fatigued. For those who can't get that great doctor or can't afford the visit this is something that does work for this type of condition and is worth the try. In our case it's terrible doctors, but I have found a new one in LA--- so she will see him to go over all her records. Maybe he will figure out why she can't get that period? -- In hypothyroidism , " Gracia " <circe@g...> wrote: > > Hi Tina, glad your daughter is doing well, but I don't think nutri- meds is > worth the money. Guest guest
Hello & welcome! Just wanted to say you might give Tina's suggestions a shot...may work. Here's what Drs. and Karilee Shames say in their book, " Thyroid Power, " " You might try a 100 percent natural treatment for borderline low thyroid, using only thyroid glandular tablests and the nutritional supplements outlined above. Even though thyroid glandular contains no active T-3 or T-4 (although perhpas a little is left in, similar to the amount of caffeine remainingin decaffeinated coffee), the ingestion of glandulars can result in surprisingly good beneifts for many people. " then they give an example of a woman really helped by them. They go on to say, " If you try glandulars for a couple of months with no improvement, it owuld then be time fto discontinue their use. " Take care...Sheila tina83862 <tina8386@...> wrote: Well I'll let you know how it goes, so far she is doing better on them but it's only been a week. Guest guest
You know I bought this book for M hoping it would explain somethings to her that I could not. I have found that because of her memory being impaired that I just could not get through to her at times so I just had to start buying her books to read on the subject. Thanks so much for making me feel like all I have done has not been a waste of time. I wish I could thank a doctor for doing it for me, but that is not the story for us. Even with doctors in my family and one of them a guru in medicine--he was off in Mexico doing stem cells studies at the time I really needed him. But that is the case when you are a relative, you usually are on the backburner!!! ha!!! And now today he says to me why didn't you come and see me---well you were in Mexico for goodness sakes. anyway today I can breathe a little bit, funny at this point nothing matters but her feeling better. Hopefully her story has helped others too!!! thank you everyone for your support--you too !!! tina > > > > Hi Tina, glad your daughter is doing well, but I don't think nutri- > meds is > > worth the money. Guest guest
good luck with the diet. it is a difficult adjustment. 1) vanilla flavored yoghurt contains added sugar. 2) coffee - caffeneited / or decaf contains mold and dehydrates the body. You may want to make the changes to your lifestyle gradually. not sure how to cure oral thrush specifically. I had it during a strong case of die-off, but it went away after I committed to the anti-candida diet for a few weeks. Some people on this list have found improvement by: - eating natural foods instead of processed foods - not overeating - drinking purified - getting enough sleep basically, by committing to health. take care, sue. > Hi Everyone, > > I have recently figured out that I have a bad case of this stuff. Guest guest
Dear Sue, Did you read s book " The Key to health and rejouvenation " ? I've heard from (meanwhile I'm searching libraries where to buy it) Andeas discusses about sleep patterns. Have you ever heard about? Can you give me an explanation? What you mean for getting enough sleep? More than 8 hrs per night? What about if for example you go to bed late just on Saturdays?
