Guest guest
Dr. Weil's Breathing Exercises: Part 2 Breathing Exercise 2: Begin with Exhalation This should be done at the end of the Breathing Exercise 1: Breath Observation. Breathing is continuous, with no beginning or end, but we tend to think of one breath as beginning with an inhalation and ending with an exhalation. This week, practice reversing that perception. Instructions: Again, focus attention on the breath without trying to influence it, but now experience exhalation as the beginning of each new cycle. Do this for one minute. You may be surprised to find out how different breathing is perceived when you approach it this way. When you begin an exhalation, you may find yourself much more involved with your breath, actively working with it rather than passively experiencing
