The Cuban Five are five Cuban men who are in U.S. prisons, serving four life sentences and 75 years collectively, after being arrested in September 1998 and wrongly convicted in U.S. federal court in Miami in 2001. They are Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Guerrero, González and René González. They were falsely accused by the U.S. government of committing espionage conspiracy against the United States, and related charges. But the Five pointed out vigorously in their defense that they were fighting terrorism — they were monitoring the actions of CIA-backed Miami-based terrorist groups, in order to prevent attacks on Cuba. The Five’s actions were never directed at the U.S.government. They never harmed anyone nor ever possessed nor used any weapons while in the United States.

On 9 separate occasions, the U.S. government has denied entry visas to (TOP) and Olga Salanueva (BOTTOM) to visit their imprisoned husbands. It has been almost 10 years since they last embraced.

Their visitation rights must be respected!

Los 5 Cubanos son 5 hombres Cubanos que están en las prisiones de los Estados Unidos, sirviendo cuatro

sentencias de por vida y 75 años colectivamente, después de haber sido arrestados en Septiembre de 1998 y sentenciados injustamente en la corte federal de Miami en el año 2001. Ellos son Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labanino, Guerrero, González y Rene González. Ellos fueron falsamente acusados por el gobierno de los Estados Unidos de cometer conspiración y espionaje en contra de los Estados Unidos, y otros cargos relacionados. Sin embargo, los cinco cubanos

señalaron vigorosamente en su defensa que estaban luchando en contra del terrorismo. Ellos estaban monitorizando las acciones de los grupos terroristas de Miami apoyados por la CIA, para prevenir ataques en contra de Cuba.

Las acciones de los 5 Cubanos nunca fueron dirigidos al gobierno de los Estados Unidos. Ellos nunca lastimaron a

nadie, nunca portarón ó utilizarón armas en los Estados Unidos.

En 9 ocasiones separadas, el gobierno de los Estados Unidos ha negado visas a Pérez (arriba) y Olga Salanueva (abajo) para visitar a sus esposos injustamente encarcelados.

Han pasado 10 anos desde la ultima vez que se abrazaron. Sus derechos de visitación deben ser respetados!
