Guest guest
I think perhaps some people have over-analyzed a post I wrote about attending the rally, and underestimated my capacity for humor and my own struggle with functioning with Lyme disease. I have severe brain damage, per Columbia Presbyterian, and often have difficulty with complicated things like my children's names, determining whether that pretty red traffic light has some special significance, trying to decide if what someone wrote was humor or serious, etc., I do the best I can. I wrote my post in the context of sitting in the doctors' office, and my experience with a great many folks who are willing to talk, able to get out, but not motivated, thinking someone else will stand for them. This has often been expressed to me by such folks. Some of what I wrote had humor in it, I thought it would have been recognized, i.e. saying the only excuse was comatose, or whatever the exact words were. Lovette is not comatose, I have known from the start. She is not coming, I have not called her up and browbeat her but I have with humor said things like " besides that why aren' you coming " and *she* knows I am kidding, I can't elaborate on her personal set of challenges. Anyway there was never any intent to start up a revolution. Simply to draw attention to the phenomenom of able people who always expect someone else to do the travel, the signs, the rearranging of schedules, etc, and then some even sit and criticize from their armchairs afterwards! Everyone has their own situation and I have no knowledge of the specifics so I don't think there was any intention of making a specific judgment of any specific person. Anyway please forgive any offense, as I said, I do the best I can, and have done a tremendous amount of work starting in SEPTEMBER on both this project and the Philadelphia " TeachOut " at the medical conference there - - which resulted in A. STeere *cancelling* the second part of his class in fury - and - I believe they had even offered medical credits for it. That to me was a significant use of my time and if as I whirl about handling all the various tasks and details, I have offended - just remember I am Lymed-out too, as you all are, and not 100% when it comes to analyzing every nuance and every angle for some remote possibility of offense, wrong context, off-humor or misunderstanding by a few. This all is tough to pull off. How about you cut me some slack on this and instead give me credit for what I do that is positive. I cut most people a LOT more slack than I seem to be seeing here from some. MisTick/Jeannine Der B.

Guest guest
Dearest MisTick/Jeannine Der B., I think your seriousness and your humor have kept many of us going through all the tuff times and we do feel, majority I think, would never be able to replace you or come close to what you actually put into action. I am one of those that could not attend and my heart is broken. But I did not take offense to what you wrote. The 9th is probably the most important event affecting our lives and well being up to this point. Those that took your message too seriously and felt hurt, please realize it was not meant to directly lay guilt on you. The post was more to stimulate those vacillating and get them to the Press conference if at all possible. Now I sit and await the information that will be forthcoming after the 9th. I love all you guys no matter who is doing what. It would be wonderful if Dr. B could go across country and hold a press conference in many major cities. But he doesn't have the big bucks from drug companies or other corporations to support this effort. We wouldn't really want him to be in anyone's pocket and love him for his true dedication to all of us. We need someone like a Bill Gates or Forbes to help our cause and get the truth out and not only for tick-borne diseases but all the crookedness that is abounding in the scientific, healthcare and government communities. The right to choose our doctors and treatments has been taken away. Warmest thoughts, much gratitude and many hugs, Barb from Michigan
