Guest guest
Dear Friends, I wanted to write a quick note about the NYC rally before I crash... First off a HUGE thanks to all those that coordinated and volunteered! The Lyme community is a fabulous one!! Despite being ill, so many worked very hard, and traveled great distances in support of Dr. B, and to tell the world about Lyme! Now for a quick summary... A crowd of 700+ people gathered across from the Plaza Hotel in the heart of NYC. The speakers were moving! Many tears were shed as one speaker spoke of the loss of his wife as a result of Lyme. I am personally very proud of the courage my LLMD, Dr. , displayed when he spoke in support of Dr. B and denounced the politics that surround Lyme... Our very own Ms. Tick read a letter from an anonymous physician. So many spoke... I imagine that others list all the speakers, but right now I'm on major Lyme Brain Drain! It was a thrill to be reunited with many I have met at other rallies, and to meet new Lyme friends as well. It's so nice to be able to put faces on the names! I hope that we can all feel strong enough to attend the next event, whatever it may be! The feeling of pride and the wonderful sense of support is an experience that mere words cannot capture. I wish you all better health! {{hugs}} Jane (That dry afternoon was delivered! Not a drop of rain fell on us!)
