Guest guest
Hi all ... just need to vent (if that's the word I want) for a few minutes here. I have been so happy the past few years because my flares have been further and further apart and when they did happen, they weren't as bad and didn't last as long. My headaches were about gone. Until the last few months. They're back ... but different. They used to be horrendous, put-me-to-my-knees headaches. But then they'd be gone in 2 or 3 days. (Cluster headaches.) Now I have constant head/neck pain. It's getting so bad that I'm dizzy and having waves of nausea. It's not meningitis. I've had that twice and I would know. It's just there!! Went to the doc on Mon. and he sat there looking at my chart, not saying a word. I said, " Well, is it bad enough to take me out back and shoot me? " He laughed and said, " Nope, not yet. " Then he said that he had just returned from a 5-day headache seminar and the one thing that kept getting repeated was that for people with chronic headaches, like me, who all of a sudden have a change in those headaches, there is a need for an MRI or CT Scan to find out what's going on in there. He gave me some Duradrin (Midrin) to try for two days. Said if I saw no improvement to call him and he would set up the test(s). Well, that was Mon. and I haven't called him back yet. I'll go the weekend and give it a chance but so far, it's not working. No change whatsoever. So, that's my tale of woe ... will let y'all know what happens.
