Guest guest
Hi Olivia! Thanks for the response! It is very nice to meet you. It appears that we had the exact same discs replaced! How are you feeling now? Are you in physical therapy? Do you know how your discs became herniated? My main issue is that I am told that my issues are genetics so now I feel like there may be no end in sight to my neck problems. It is very frustrating! I was seeing a chiropractor and a PT before I had the surgery. They thought it could help with the discs. Now I am so scared that the two current discs are going to become herniated. I can't imagine having 4 discs removed! I don't think I would be able to even move my neck after that! I too did not think about the future and what effects the surgery may have on me. After a year of not being able to move my neck or arms, I just needed relief. They did tell me that sometimes the discs above and below the fusion can become herniated due to the stress they are taking on. I never thought I would have to deal with that. They also told me that I have arthritis in my neck. I just don't get it! I hope to talk to you soon! Guest guest
I am not going to do anything.. I am afraid to let anybody near me... At least now I can still walk.. I learned the hard way that in corporate America it does not matter what you have done.. If you are not able to put in the hours then, it is see you later.. I am very jaded now about work.. I am concerned that any place I might want to work may do what my last 2 employers did and say if you cannot work the hours...so I am afraid/reluctant to even look for another job because it is so much of a downer that the quality of your work does not seem to be as important as being in your seat.. I never had an epidural that lasted more than a couple of months.. I do not mind the pain as much as I mind how it affects those around me.. I hate not being able to go out at night with my wife.. I hate not being able to go to a movie or a performance in fear that I will have to leave.. Like many of us I have good days and bad days.. Today seems to be a bad day.. The pain is bad but the pain is not the issue. I have to work hard like all of us to not be depressed and to keep a smile on my face.. But.. here is a smile : ) I hope in some small measure it helps you with your day Tom In a message dated 8/6/2008 1:14:27 P.M. Guest guest
Hi, I am wondering if the dr's have your wife on 2 much meds? THe meds can make the person more tired. However, if you are on a good multi- vitamin & take a good b vit or have a good diet, there shouldn't be 2 much of a difference in her other than more tired. Is that what you are referring too? At least the Dr's finally figured out what it was. I wish you all the best & hope to hear from you in this group. Its a great group. Guest guest
It sounds like your adrenals are a bit "freaked out". You are probably detoxing too fast. I noticed you do not have any Vitamin C on your list. Are you taking any? You should take 2,000 - 3,000 mgs / day. That will help with detox. Magnesium is also good at about 200-400 mgs / day. For supporting the thyroid you might want to also add Selenium at 200 - 400 mcg / day. The salt will help your adrenals. Make sure you get 1/2 - 3/4 tsp of good unrefined (like Celtic) salt / day. Try cutting your dose in 1/2 of the Iodoral and see if that helps. Sometimes pulse dosing works too. Go 6 days on and 1 day off. I have had to do that on my journey up. Welcome! Owner of the group www.naturalthyroidchoices.com New to the group! I just started iodoral (1 pill) abouta week ago and was fine the first three days, but now I feel horrible. I am having anxiety, stomache upset, lower back pain, and overall sick feeling. Is this the detox, and if so what should I do?? I tried the salt loading and it does not seem to help a lot. I am hypotyroid and am currently taking 87.5mcg of cytomel, 25mg of HC. Should I stop the iodine or just slpw it down??Thanks, Kim
